My breath came out as small, white clouds in the cold air as I stood there. I tucked my black scarf higher up under my rosy nose tip. I stood behind a naked hedge in front of a house in a nice suburb. I could practically hear Jeongguk's soft words in my red tinted ear, as I looked at the wooden door of the house.

C'mon, grumpy. Go up there and ring the bell! Carpe diem!

But I didn't have the guts to walk up there. Me, who is normally not afraid of anything. The house is out of my league.

So I clicked my tongue and rolled my eyes and turned around to leave.

I put my hands in my leather jacket pockets and kicked a small stone on the pathway, a deep scowl on my face.

"Screw you, suburb." I grumbled.

"Hi?"

I froze completely with my shoulders all the way up under my ears at the deep, warm voice. I slowly turned around.

A man had opened the door. A Korean man. Him.

"Can I help you?"

But he halted slightly when he caught sight of me completely. He fell silent. He just stared at me. My strong eyebrows. My long legs. My rounded nose.

He then stepped out of the door and came walking towards me. With his strong eyebrows. His long legs. And his rounded nose.
