George clutched the books close to his chest, pursing his lips together as he stared at the presumably colorful poster in front of him. He tapped his fingers along the hard covers, shifting back and forth on his feet; his shoes squeaking quietly on the shiney floors.

Prom

The brunet nervously bit on his lip while staring at the ad, people walking past him in the busy highschool hallways; walking past him as just another person on campus. He gave one more glance to the poster with pictures of people in nice dresses and suits having fun, before looking to the floor and back up; walking away. George gripped the one backpack strap that was tugging on his shoulder, holding the textbooks from his last class in his other arm.

The loud chatter of people talking along the hallways filled the crowded spaces, the brunet weaving his way through people walking to get to his locker. He wasn't fazed by it much anymore; he was nearing the end of his fourth year and it just became routine, occasionally smiling and waving at people he was acquainted with but he wasn't too popular. He had gotten used to drowning the sounds out and living in his own world, usually with earbuds to further muffle the noises; such as right now, the black strings dangling from his ears to his back pocket.

He continued to make his way down the hallway, lost in his own daze while occasionally slowing down to wave at others; being nice. The brunet however seemed to duck his head more as he approached a louder crowd, biting his lip in hopes that he wouldn't be seen. As he neared the group, time seemed to slow; from the moment he lifted his head and looked to the side, catching sight of the tall muscular blond leaning against the locker surrounded by people. George let go of his lip, completely mesmerized by the other until he noticed the blond's green eyes flash his way; locking them together in each other's gaze with a bright smile.

George quickly widened his eyes, walking faster as he looked away; pushing through others to get away as he felt his cheeks begin to heat up in embarrassment. He quickly made his way to his locker, getting the combination in and swinging the small door open; letting out a breath he didn't even realise he had been holding. He furrowed his eyebrows as the reality of the situation set in, putting his books in the locker and rubbing his eyes while sighing. "Why did I just do that?"

"Why'd ya do what?" a familiar face popped up next to him, leaning against a nearby locker. George jumped, hitting his hand on the metal door and wincing. "Ow, what the fuck; oh, hey Alex." The other smirked back in amusement as George took out his earbuds; shoving them into his pocket while putting away some things from his backpack. "Jesus, what's up with you man." George rolled his eyes, continuing to stare into the dark space as he grabbed a folder out. "Nothing, I'm fine."

The other squinted his eyes, crossing his arms; "Sure, cause nothing has been making you act weird the last few days. Your face is red as hell by the way." George rolled his eyes once again, not bothering with an answer. The other thought for a minute before smirking and leaning his side against the wall to face George. "Girl troubles? Duuude let me help you, this is my area of expertise." George gave a playful smile to the other, neither agreeing nor denying anything. Alex lit up, "Wait really?! Dude you haven't been interested in anybody in forever, actually wait...ever! Who is it?"
