Song Inspo: Please Never Fall in Love Again

It could have been dark empty rooms of the house, silent hallways and ringing in one's ears as sorrow and loneliness consumed him at night; just like all the others. But it wasn't, instead it was a warm sky filled with hues of orange and pink; setting as it craved to go beneath the horizon.

Dream held George's hand as they admired it, standing together with long shadows lying beneath them on the ground. Dream hummed quietly, turning to George whose face was illuminated with said colors; highlighting his features and cheekbones, all the way down to his sharp jawline. The brunet looked at him, a warming smile on his face as he giggled lightly to the other.

George suddenly gasped as he was pulled closer to the other, his hands resting on the blonds chest; level with the shorters face. The taller chuckled down to him, still delicately holding his hand as he placed his other one on George's hip. George smiled, blushing slightly as he set the hand that wasn't holding Dream's, on the tallers shoulder. They swayed quietly, only the faint sound of the wind going by; yet there was music in their hearts, enough to keep them dancing together in the field of flowers together.

Dream smiled at the boy's face, softly holding George's hand as he guided him into spinning. "You and me, may never be lonely again." and it was true, they never would be alone again; now that they truly had each other. That's all he wanted, to spin endlessly or...at least until the end.

Well, he did start feeling lonely again. The sweet moments that he once felt with George were now rare and faint; they barely spent any time together. Any work he put in to spend with the brunet was usually met with a; 'I'm busy', 'Maybe later' or 'Not right now'. It hurt, it stung in his chest like an ache he couldn't grasp yet tried to reach for; like he was still holding on desperately to what was left.

He remembered walking down the street with George, holding his hand gently; though the boy seemed to be zoning out of the blonds speaking and his own hold on him was faint. Dream kept talking, until he noticed George looking at a man on the street; the same way he used to look at Dream, catching his eye in a way that pained his chest. He stopped talking, the words fizzing out on his tongue as though he didn't need them anymore; slipping his hand out of the brunet's grasp.

Tears blocked his vision out as he slid his back against his bedroom door, it used to be their bedroom door; the room now lacked George's personal belongings as they were packed up. Dream brought his legs up, leaning the corners of his elbows on them and burying his face in his hands; the tears not yet falling. He couldn't be out there right now, he never looked pretty when he cried and he didn't want that to be George's final glimpse of him.

George stood in the other room, holding his last suitcase that was packed with clothes; the rest of his things already packed up in his car. Tears were in his own eyes, scanning the rest of the living room and kitchen for anything of his; not wanting to leave it behind for the blond to find and cry over. Seeing that there was nothing left, he slowly approached the kitchen counter; taking the minecraft CD he was given by Dream and setting it on the counter. He bit his lip, slowly sliding off the promise ring from his finger; slowly setting it on top of the CD case, along with his house key; both making a small metal clank as they collided.

Dream was ready to let the tears go as he heard the quiet 'click' of the front door closing; the house filled with harsh silence. He felt his phone buzz on the hard floor next to him; picking it up with shaky hands and crying quietly at the bright screen. He had told George to text him his goodbyes and he did just that.

He dropped his phone back to the floor, finally allowing the tears to fall as loud sobs came from his mouth; the wet streams staining his cheeks as he cried. He curled up into a ball at the base of his bedroom door; praying and wishing that he would never fall in love again.
