I was beyond stoked and pleasantly shocked when Zeke agreed to come over to my house after school. It was a long shot, but I really didn't want to go home to an empty house. And anyways, Zeke seemed so freakin' cool and mysterious with this air about him that is so calm and laidback. He comes across as a bad boy at first, but he's really just a softy with a playful personality, from what I can tell.
I'm sure my dad will be ecstatic when I tell him that I made a friend, and on my first day, maybe he'll lay off with the basketball tryouts.
The day dragged on, but we at least had last period together. We made sure to sit next to each other, and I found myself laughing far too much.
After stopping by our lockers to drop off the books that we wouldn't need, we walked out to the parking lot together. I pointed to my Jeep and told him to follow me. He shot me his iconic smirk and nodded his head as he walked over to a freakin' motorcycle. I shouldn't have been surprised, but fuck, that was so badass.
Once home, I immediately brought him up to my room, completely forgetting the state I was in this morning as I left it a mess. I felt my face burn red hot as I opened my bedroom door, "Crap, sorry for the mess, I was in a rush this morning," I threw my backpack down and started fixing the bed, so we had somewhere to sit.
My room was still pretty much bare, and I made it a mental note to talk to dad about picking up some chairs or something, so I'd have somewhere else to sit with friends, or one friend, Zeke. Because who knows, maybe this year will be my year, and I'll actually have friends to hang out with.
I leaned over and pulled my comforter over my bed, not bothering with the sheets. Goosebumps pricked my skin at the sensation of eyes penetrating through me, and when I peered over my shoulder, Zeke was still standing in the doorway, stormy eyes locked on mine.
"Hey man, you can come in," I called over to him.
He noticeably stiffened, then sauntered into the middle of the room.
"Sorry, I don't have any furniture yet...," I gestured to the bed, "but the bed's big enough, we can sit here and play video games...or watch a movie on Netflix?" my brow raised in question.
"Cool," he shrugged, then casually bent down and pulled his boots off one at a time. I watched as the muscles stretched and pulled his tight shirt, "what are you in the mood for?" he questioned as he ran and jumped, falling backward on my bed, both hands behind his head. The bottom of his shirt pulled up to reveal a toned narrow waist.
Shaking my head, I chuckled as I walked over to my dresser and grabbed my laptop, bringing it over to the bed. I crawled up next to him, then put the laptop between us, flipping it open, "Let's find a movie to watch," I hummed out as I pulled up Netflix in the browser.
Zeke shifted, so he was laying down sideways facing me, his handheld his head up as he leisurely looked up to me, "What genre do you normally watch?" his smooth voice questioned.
"Ehh...I watch pretty much everything...except old western movies...that's where I draw the line."
"Anything?" His brows slightly raised, his stormy eyes full of amusement.
