•Bailey's POV•
I jump into the van with my mom. Courtney and Ron, my stepdad, are driving the truck and trailer. My mom pulls out of our drive way. I just watch our old house.
It's was equivalent to the size of a double wide mobile home. There was a 40 by 80 foot garage beside the house. It was maybe 20 feet tall at the tallest point. Ron built that by himself in about two years. In the backyard there was a swing and treehouse we made. There was also a 24,000 gallon swimming pool that Ron also built. There was a slide and diving board. It was nine feet deep too. I can't believe we're actually moving. We spent so much time on this house and yard I just can't believe my mom and Ron would actually sell.
My mom said our new house is a lot bigger; two stories with a finished basement. There's supposed to be a lake out back, plus a swimming pool. This move doesn't sound half bad actually. Now I feel excited. Maybe I'll meet new friends.
"So are you excited?" My mom asks.
"I don't know what to think. I just want to sleep right now," I reply. My mom nods her head and I stick my earphones into my ears. I turn my music about halfway up and play my music. Maybe I'll sleep the whole way...

I feel someone gently shaking me. I felt earphones were laying on my shoulders and I could hear "I Got A Car" by George Strait blasting through them.
I gently opens eyes to see my mom hovering over me with a smile on her face. I rub my eyes and gape at the large house that I'm in front of.
"Is- is this our house?" I ask, astonished.
My mom smiles and nods,"yes!"
Wow I might love it here.
My sister is already running through the house. I join her. I bolt up the stairs and find a large bedroom. It had a medium sized walk in closet and a bathroom.
"This room's mine!" I shout. I bet China could hear me. Good. My sister needs to know this is my room.
I look out the window and notice a lady talking to my mom. Probably our new neighbor. I walk down the stairs and out into the yard with them. I stand beside my mom and smile at the lady.
"And how old is your daughter?" She asks.
"This is Bailey and she's fifteen," my mom answers for me.
"I'm Elizabeth by the way," she smiles at me, "and my son is sixteen!"
I smile and nod. "Cool" is all I manage to say. Hey.. maybe he's cute.
"Well I bet she'd love to get out of backing and meet him," my mom hints.
"I'd do anything to get out of unpacking," I say and follow Elizabeth to her house.
Elizabeth's house looked similar to ours. Almost exactly the same. All the houses looked similar in this neighborhood. It was cute, actually. My old house had four houses on the entire road.
"So Bailey, where are you from?" She asks, inviting me into her house.
"Mercer," I say.
She looks blankly at me.
"Where is that?" She asks again.
"Half way between Pittsburgh and Erie in Pennsylvania," I add.
"Oh. sounds like a small town," she says and sits down at a table. I stand there, awkwardly.
"Oh, sorry, sweetheart, Nash is up in his bedroom. Head on up the stairs and it's your second door on your left," Elizabeth directs.
"Um, who's Nash?" I ask. I don't remember her talking about Nash.
"Oh wait. Your son. Sorry," I say.
"It's okay. I don't recall telling you or your mom his name. I'm the one who should be sorry," she apologizes.
"It's also okay Mrs...." I start.
"Just call me Elizabeth, sweetheart," she informs.
"Thank you Elizabeth," I say and start walking toward the stairs.
I've never beet good at friends. What if I act stupid around Nash? Will he ruin my reputation at school?
Jut thinking about the possibility makes me heart race. Once I reach the top of the stairs a little girl states at me.
"What are you doing here," she says," I don't know you."
"Hi I'm Bailey and I'm your new neighbor," I answer her and smile. The frown disappears from her face and then she smiles.
"I'm Skylynn and you look like you like horses," she says and points at my shirt. I won that shirt at a horse show, so it kinda had a horse on it.
I bent down so my eyes looked into hers.
"Yes I do," I smile," and I have some. Do you like horses?" I ask her.
"You did not just ask Sky if she likes horses," I deeper voice asks from behind me.
"Nash I'm talking to my new friend," Skylynn says annoyed. I stand up and stare into a pair of beautiful blue eyes.
