Crystal frowns her eyes filled with tears. "I hope they're okay," She says a single tear falling down her face and into the pool. The pool starts a to glow ,where her tear fell in, a light lavender color. It gets darker as if it's getting stronger. The water shoots straight up in the air and forms a necklace. The necklace is a purple shell with a gold chain. It goes over Crystal's head and settles on her neck. The pool is turning back to the original blue/clear color. "What just happened?" Cathleen asks dumbfounded. "Crystal just gained her mermaid powers!" Coral grins. "Really? Try them out Cryst!" Cathleen urges. "But I can't swim...," Crystal blushes. "Your mermaid powers will take care of the swimming! But remain calm when your legs pin together into a tail. It'll feel weird at first but you'll get used to it!" Coral smiles swimming away from the edge where Crystal is. She jumps in her legs start to glow a white sparkly color. The weird feel of her legs getting pinned together makes Crystal squirm a little. She remembers the sparkling waves and starts to become calm. Then she remembers the big wave and gets nervous again. Crystal's legs stop glowing and she looks down to see her long beautiful tail swishing back and forth to keep her head above water. "Well you have a beautiful tail! But you honestly did not remain calm..," Coral points out. "Hey! I tried! It's a super weird feeling!" Crystal says. "I know," Coral smiles. Becky walks up sand sticking to her wet nose. "Awe who's this little cutie?" Cathleen asks petting Crystal's dog. "That's Becky," Crystal smiles swimming around in circles. "Hi! Becky! Who's a cute Becky?" Cathleen baby talks to Becky. "Ugh what's wrong with this chick?" An annoyed voice says. "Did you guys hear that?!" Cathleen asks. "No, maybe you're just paranoid or something," Crystal suggests. "I swear someone just said "Ugh what's wrong with this chick" you didn't hear it?" Cathleen asks looking around. "No, we didn't hear it... But maybe there's something that you can do that we can't! Like you have super great hearing or something?" Coral shrugs. "You heard it didn't you Becky?" Cathleen asks hugging the dog. "Let go of me!" The annoyed voice says. "Y-your dog can talk...," Cathleen says scooting backward away from her. "I didn't hear her," Crystal says. "Me either!" Coral agrees. "Maybe I can talk to animals!" Cathleen says excitedly. "Only the most powerful mermaids can talk to animals...," Coral says gasping a little. "Jump in the pool!" Crystal and Coral said in unison.
Cathleen jumped in.
