Outside in the Specialist's training yard, among other specialist students, Sky and Riven are training.
"There's something about her."
"What, you're smitten after one chat? What is it with you and the crazy ones?" Riven asked
Sky retorted "How do you know she's crazy? You haven't even met her."
"She's a ginge. They're all nuts. Amazing shags though." Riven shrugged
Sky laughed "Oh, you speak from experience? Didn't realise your hand was a redhead. And what about the blonde girl?"
"That hot blonde, though, I'll need to do some tests before I make my diagnosis on her crazy."
"I dunno, mate, she froze your feet. I'd pick and choose my battles wisely if I were you."
They fight until Riven lands on his back
"You got slow this summer."
"Correction. I got high this summer." Riven retorted
"Really?"
Riven began "Whatever big-brother speech you're about to give me..."
"There's no speech." Sky stopped him
Riven continued "...I don't wanna hear it. A more productive use of your time would be to distract your aggro father figure so I don't got expelled."
And with that, Riven walked away and towards the woods, preparing to reward himself with getting high away from the school or faculty.
That blonde though. She was different. Feisty. Cold. Reserved.
She was tall, blonde, with skin in a combination of alabaster pale and perfectly fair and eyes as blue as the ice that he was encased in.
Maybe she was Stella's twin? That would be scary, knowing what Stella did to Ricki, plus Stella was a light fairy and this girl was a ice fairy.
A very gorgeous ice fairy.
But his thoughts were cut by the sounds of a rasp, his screams and the sight of a body...
At the welcoming party, people were gossiping about a dead shepherd. Cora stood with Terra, Aisha and Musa near the refreshments table.
"Who actually saw the shepherd's body? Maybe he was just old. People get old, die. We all die."
"That old-age decapitation really sneaks up on you." Musa replies sarcastically.
Aisha nodded "Happened to my nan right in the middle of bingo. Just... thwop, thwop, thwop. Down the table." She turned around to grab a pile of cookies, and saw Musa looking at her.
"No judgment, but..." she began
"I eat a million calories a day. If I didn't swim, I'd be massive."
Terra looked at the pair awkwardly and Cora widened her eyes at the comment.
"I used to dance. I get it." Musa smiled.
Aisha nodded "On that note..."
"Second round. Damn! Twice a day every day. You weren't kidding." Musa chuckled
Aisha walked off, leaving the three fairies alone together.
Terra looked at Musa "So you did hear her earlier?"
