I was took down a narrow hall only to be met again with the weird hospital smell I was back in the lab of this hellhole

I must have looked so awkward right now.Looking around not sure where to go or what to do.There we're few other kids here some younger some older but none that I recognised.

Piercing eyes met mine as I looked up and seen the demanding age of one of the interrogators of WCKD.She was wearing a white lab coat that had no mark on it expect from her name card.

Miranda.Even her name sounds bitchy.

"Sit down"She demanded gesturing to the small stool sat in the cold corner of the room.

I shuffled over to the plastic chair.They could have picked something more comfortable.Like put a nice fluffy cushion in it or a nice padded wooden chair o-

"Well hurry up will you"She snapped cutting of my comfortable fantasies.My lisp parted and I let out a small sigh finally sitting down on the harsh plastic.

Miranda walked over to a table and grabbed a pen and a clipboard.Getting all professional.She also dragged out a chair but hers was padded.WCKD are not fair people.She took a seat crossing her legs and looked up at me.

"I'm gonna ask some questions about your brother" she said while taking the lid off her own and looked down getting ready to write.

"No" I mumbled not wanting to think about that night.

"What"Miranda snapped looking back up from her clipboard.

"No" I said louder getting impatient.

"What do you mean no Lyra " she said while glaring at me.

"I'm not answering any questions about my brother he's dead he doesn't deserve to be studied"I raised my voice slightly.Shifting uncomfortably in my chair.I hated when they asked about him.

"We need answers Lyra" she demanded unfolding her legs harshening her cold glare.

"I SAID NO IM NOT ANSWERING THESE" I shouted trying to hold my emotions back.

"Take her back to the others" the scientist turned to two guards that were standing near the doorway.They immediately approached me grabbing me roughly by my biceps and forced me through the narrow hallways back to the cafeteria full of laughing happy teenagers.

I lifted my hands slightly making a red aura surround both of the guards arms lifting my hands even more giving them no choice but y let go of me.I stepped forward but before I did I turned back and gave to two dicks a sweet sarcastic smile which I quickly dropped as I walked into the large social area.Yeah being social that's something I hate.

I swerved my way between the metal tables and hormonal teenagers.Some turned there heads towards me as I walked by but mostly they kept there friend groups as I walked by.I seen my normal little table over in the corner.It was quiet there.I sat down on the cold metal bench only to hiss at the harsh cold temperature of it.I looked around the room waiting for my quiet,short, brunette haired friend to show up.

I heard footsteps approaching close to my table so I lifted my head to be met by the deadliest things on earth.Hormonal teenage boys.There was four of them all ugly asf.I could see a couple of people in the room turn there head towards my table trying to see why these boys were here.Two of them say either side of me while the two others say across.

"Hey baby"Devils spawn 1 that sat next to me said.

I turned my head towards the one who talked and gave him a cold glade before looking back down at the plain ass table.

"What are you not gonna talk to us" another taunted while pouting.All he's doing is making himself look like a duck a literal duck.No offence to ducks of course.

I stuck my right hand under the table and I could feel the energy float around my hand.I slowly put another hand under the table and formed a ball of red energy.

"Come on talk to us beautiful" One of them said beside me while lifting a hand going to touch my face.I stopped him by lifting my hands and thrusting them towards the boys chest.The ball quickly flew through the air in wisps of red.It hit the boys chest with so much force it sent the Devils creation flying back into a neighbouring table.Making a loud crashing noise now everyone was watching.Eyes staring wide at me.

The other boys quickly pushed themselves up from the table and scurried off back to hell.While I was wheezing of laughter holding my stomach.I stopped when I realised someone else was standing across from me.

Aris my only friend here.He smiled awkwardly waving like he always did.I smiled kindly back as he sat down and bit into a red apple.

"So what joys did you go through this morning my friend" I asked leaning my head on my hands my elbows against the table hiding me up.

"The usual blood tests and stuff I swear by the time I get out of here I'll have no bloody blood left"he ranted gesturing his hands around still holding his half eaten apple.

"That's was a lot of bloodies and blood.Do you wanna piss off a guard I'm bored?"I questioned wiggling my eyebrows jokingly.

"Which one" he said sprinting to life at the mention of tormenting a guard.

"How about that one" I said pointing a finger to a tall muscular guy that had this serious dickhead look spread across his face.He looked like an egg.He was bald.

"Perfect" he laughed taking another bite of his apple.

My head searched the room and lucky enough there was a talk glass of water sitting at a table not so far away from him.

I let a smirk grace my face as I pointed a finger to the glass.Red wisps of energy surrounded it.My finger lifted and I made the glass float just over his very bald shiny head.

The guy standing next to hims eyes widen as he nudged the guard who looked at him confused until the other guy pointed up and the guard looked up.

As soon as he looked up I tilted my finger and the water poured out the glass spraying all over his face.Maybe it'll wipe his scowl off.He lifted his hands and wiped at his eyes as his face turned a deep shade of red.

"LYRA" The guards boy thundered through the hall as I turned towards my friends leaning across the table to find him a high five.

I seen a faint shadow signalling that there was a presence behind me and a tall one at that.

"Well shit"I mumbled towards myself as I turned around to be met with the red face off the guard who was drenched in water.Some of it still dripping off his face.

"Hi" I smiled looking at the guard innocently but the guard looked very unamused.

"I know it was you" he said through gritting teeth leaning his body towards me.

"Whaaat" I dragged out trying to seek clueless to what he was talking about but my voice went slightly higher.

I got into his head and I could feel his anger and embarrassment I concentrated and echoed "leave" through his head.The guards eyes looked glazed over as a they lit up scarlet for a second and then the guard turned around and walked away robotically.

I turned back to Aris smiling as I done jazz hands and laughed "Ta da"
