I opened my big wooden door , pushing the handle down as it  made a big creek noise , lots of eyes looked at me .

"Why are you late ?"Mr Hammond glared 

"erm I'm sorry sir ,I promise i won't be late again" I whispered 

"Not a good excuse now sit down before i give you detention"he added

I looked at the back of the class and saw Amina she smiled and hand gestured me to come , i walked to the back of the class and sat in the seat next to her.

"How come you don't text me anymore" she whispered 

"wallahi i'm not going to lie but i actually don't have time because of my mum's new job and i have to look after April and Arlo" I said quietly 

" Wow mashallah your mum got a new job, Where does she work now ? "she muttered

"In new hospital across my road" i said now looking at Mr Hammond because i could feel his eyes on me.

"That's really" someone burst into class which caught everyone's attention"good" amina finished off.

"Morning sir how are you doing ?" Alice asked standing at the front of the class with her boyfriend Derek Johnson AKA (the bad boy and the best looking and popular boy in school ). He had short brown hair always neatly gelled to one side and his bright shining blue eyes making his face stand out and his perfect white teeth with his beautiful smile any girl would die for . Derek was so popular and rich and good looking.  Astaghfirullah  Did i just call derek good looking ,he looks kind but i've never spoke to him so i don't know if he is like his stuck up girlfriend.

"Morning alice and derek i'm good thanks"Mr Hammond said as he smiled 

Mr Hammond was always scared of them so he always made them his favourite because once he shouted at Alice and her parents wanted a meeting with him and it nearly got Mr Hammond kicked out of school.

Luckily the bell ran before Alice could speak again so she left the room straight away dragging derek as he smirked at Mr Hammond. Amina and I linked arms and left class and went straight to our lockers. 

"What lesson do we have next ?" i asked 

"I have chemistry but i'm not sure what you have check you time table stop being lazy" she said as i rolled my eyes

I took my book out of my locker and ran to my next lesson , school wasn't so bad it was just the people in my year that were to annoying. Don't you ever wish you could pick the people in your year . Definitely not Alice, Emma and Derek and his friends ( Ethan Walker , Theo Anderson and Grayson Brown). 

                                                                         AFTER SCHOOL

Xander dropped me to Arlo and April's school saying he had to go out with his friends to catch up on some work so i walked home holding april's and arlo's hand . After a 10 minute walk I finally got home , i opened my house door and sat down on my couch straight away. I told them to change out of their school clothes and opened the fridge to see what i could cook for arlo and april . I noticed a note on the fridge door hanging by a magnet . I pulled it off the magnet to read it .

I already made food for you guys in the oven and please go out to buy some bread and milk from the shops, i left the money in the second drawer in the kitchen buy yourself some snacks with the change . Don't forget to do your homework Yaz. I'll be home by 9 please don't forget to go shops you need fresh air anyway bye love you.
