"Sasuke!" Sakura called out. "Rizaki! Naruto! You guys can do it!"
"Don't, Sakura," Sasumi warned her quietly as she watched intently from the outside. She really wished she was there, but she knew she couldn't. "Even if they try to overcome it, none of them could defeat this ninja."
And if I move from this spot, she began to think. Zabuza would probably use a clone to get the bridge builder. Sakura doesn't have the greatest skills to fight, and I haven't seen Sōma in battle yet. Either way, I don't exactly trust them protecting this old man alone without me. Dammit...
"Wait, how can you be so sure of that?" Sōma questioned.
"They have the desire to win," Kakashi explained, while Zabuza began laughing. "But they don't have the instincts to kill. That boy is a whole other breed. He lives for pain. He thrives in it."
"Exactly," the rogue ninja snickered. "Your village has become complacent. You're trainees never learned the most important lesson of all; to kill the feeling in their hearts. To crush an opponent mercilessly. To destroy with no emotion or regret!"
"Senseis, what do we do?" Sakura didn't like where all of this went. Nobody here did. "Please tell us!" Kakashi and Kezuka looked at each other, and with the female Jonin giving a single nod, the male pulled up his headband to show the Sharingan again.
"Sharingan?" The opponent chuckled in amusement. "You really are no fun, using the same old trick." He looked like he went to pull out his sword, but instead pulled out a kunai and attempted to stab Kakashi in the eye, but luckily Kezuka was quick enough to push him back and block it with her hand.
"If it was just an old trick," Kezuka started, wincing at the knife dug into her palm. "Why didn't you try to stop him?"
"Let your opponents see your Jutsu too many times, and he'll find a way to use it against you."
"Count yourself lucky then," Kakashi complimented sarcastically with a glare. "You're the only person alive who's seen our Sharingan more than once. But the show's over; you won't see them again."
"Even if you didn't see me," Zabuza started. "You'd have no chance against Haku. When I found him, he was just a street kid. But I trained him in the most advanced ninja techniques. I taught him everything I know. Plus, he had special abilities that he refined on his own; the boy developed quickly. Soon, he could face the most powerful enemy, outnumbered, in total darkness. It didn't matter, he could strike with perfect accuracy.
"He cared nothing of his own life or the lives of others. He's become a unique fighting machine; a Shinobi. In the end, his power even surpassed mine. His bloodline trait, the Kekkei Genkai, cannot be defeated by anyone. I've created a tool that destroys everything that stands in my path, unlike those useless pathetic punks that follow you two around."

"I'll try again!" Naruto yelled. "As much as it takes! Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Multiple Naruto clones appeared and pounced at the mirrors. However, in less than a second they all got poofed away except the original, who was falling. Rizaki jumped in and caught him with a grunt.
"How is he doing that?!" Rizaki yelled with frustration as she set her friend down and make the hand sign. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
"Don't you see it's useless?" Haku asked rhetorically, continuing to cut them all with needles as the blunette flew into the blonde, making them both groan in pain. It looked like the masked person was getting tired though. "I know you need me, Zabuza...I'll finish them off quickly." Naruto got up again and created more Shadow Clones, causing Haku to prepare more needles. "They just won't give up!"
Just then, Sasuke started weaving hand signs and blew another Fireball Jutsu. But Haku was too quick as he dodged and flung his needles at the Naruto clones, seeing clouds of fog and the original flying back. Since Rizaki was too slow due to her pain Sasuke jumped in and caught him instead.
"I was so close," Naruto grunted. "But I couldn't get to him!"
"Naruto, Rizaki; do the clone thing again," Sasuke declared. "I got an idea."
"Huh?"
"Yeah, we gotcha!" Rizaki got herself up with a determined grin. "Let's do this, maji!"
The two made their handsign and created Shadow Clones, having them jump at Haku again. Sasuke started doing his hand signs again before yelling:
"Alright, you two! Run out now!"
"Wait what?!" Naruto exclaimed.
"You two have to go out and attack from the outside, got it?!"
"...Alright! Yeah!" Naruto and Rizaki gave each other a quick silent countdown and dashed in opposite directions to escape. But a quick flash of light appeared and, before they knew it, slammed into each other from the power of a kick.
"AGH!" They both groaned.
"FIREBALL JUTSU!" Sasuke yelled, blasting a fireball at Haku. But he dodged it, throwing a needle into the Uchiha's shoulder. "Ngh!"
"Still couldn't...get past him," Rizaki panted while she and Naruto got on their feet. Sasuke gave them a smirk.
"It was good, could you guys do it one more time?" The duo gave him a blank look at first, but then smiled and nodded.
"Let's do it!" They sped off again, but from a corner of their eyes they noticed Sasuke get attacked. "Sasuke—gagh!" The two were stabbed by thrown needles as they fell to the floor.
"Damn these things...!" Rizaki frowned as she pulled one out her arm.
Suddenly, there was a scream.
Sakura's scream.
