CHAPTER 32

JENNIE POV

I was getting ready for the annual Korean Businessmen Association. Mom told me to come along. She wanted to introduce me unofficially to other businessmen because after all, I was her heir. But I already told mom that I was going there with Lisa, and she, of course, was fine with that.

I'm finishing the last touches on my makeup. I know this is a formal event, so I have to present myself as well as possible to not embarrass mom and Lisa.

I wore Michael Kors Draped Stretch Matte-Jersey Gown in blue, which is simple but elegant. The dress is not too open, only the front is low enough to show a little cleavage. I let my hair wave and fall down naturally. My makeup is not too thick, just simple but still looks formal.

I just finished rubbing lipstick on my lips when there was a soft knock on my bedroom door. Then the door opened after I told them to enter.

"Miss Jennie, Mr Manoban has come," said one of my maids.

"Okay, I'll come down soon, thank you," I replied. I took another look at my appearance on the whole body mirror. Once satisfied and made sure everything was perfect, I took my handbag and went downstairs.

Lisa was waiting for me downstairs, and as soon as I got down the stairs, he walked over, and his smile widened. His gaze scanned me up and down with a look full of admiration, then looked back up to met with my gaze and didn't let go until I was at the bottom of the stairs. He stretched out his hand, and I greeted him.

"You are so beautiful, Jennie," he said quietly after kissing the back of my hand.

"And you are also very charming," I said. Indeed, he looks very handsome with his formal appearance. It was a coincidence that he was wearing a pure wool 1 button tuxedo made by Canali in Navy color with kissing buttons on the sleeves, complete with a matching vest and white shirt combined with a dark purple bow tie. His hair is neatly combed to make him even more charming. How lucky I am to be with him because anyone who sees him will definitely fall in love.

He led me to the car that was waiting in the front door with Mr Yang standing and smiling at me and a driver who was ready to open the door for us to get into a very elegant black Rolls-Royce Phantom Ewb. After we entered, Mr Yang came in and sat in the front, besides Lisa's driver. The separator in front of us is closed, so we have privacy.

Lisa stares at me from the side, and I turn to him, smile.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing. Just feel how lucky I am to be with someone so beautiful like you. I'm sure all eyes will be upon you. But unfortunately, they can only admire it from afar," he said, kissing the back of my hand again.

"I think all eyes will be on you. Remember, you are the star today. This is your first appearance," I said and squeezed his hand.

"Hmm... No. With your current appearance, I'm sure their attention will be diverted," he said with a mischievous smile.
