CHAPTER 22

JENNIE POV

I was shocked when Lisa, who was walking beside me, suddenly spun around and fell on the floor.

"Chu!" he exclaimed.

"LISA!" I immediately approached him, but Jisoo held me. She stood in front of me, holding me. I was horrified when I saw Jaejoong approach Lisa and punch him again. He grabbed Lisa by the collar and hit him again and again. I tried to pass Jisoo, but she held me tight. Rosie came over and joined me with furrowed brows. She held my arm. They just saw Lisa getting beaten up. I panicked, looked around where the students had gathered around us, they just looked from afar, without anyone interrupting them.

"Seulgi! Help Lisa!" I called out to him. My eyes started to water. He and Irene also just stared at Lisa and Jaejoong with furrowed brows. Why don't they help him?

Lisa's lips were busted, bleeding, and bruise showing on his cheekbones. Jaejoong kicked him hard in the stomach, making Lisa clutch his stomach looking in pain.

"JAEJOONG STOP!" I shouted as loud as possible. It seemed to work because he stopped, standing staring at Lisa, who was still lying on the pavement catching his breath. Jaejoong straightened himself. He looks at me. I blinked my eyes many times to wipe away my tears. There was some bandage stuck to some parts of his face, and the bottom of his eyes, and cheeks, and sides of his lips were blue. It looks like the results after he was beaten by Lisa that night. His eyes gleam with anger, and he moves quickly toward me. Rosie tightened her grip on me, while Jisoo stood in front of me, covering me from Jaejoong.

"Don't think you can approach her!" Jaejoong flinched backward because he was pulled by Lisa. He immediately positioned himself between Jaejoong and us. Jaejoong moved towards Lisa and was about to hit him, but Lisa dodged the punch and pushed Jaejoong without hitting him.

"You want to embarrass yourself in front of people?" Lisa asked casually, gesturing his hand around us. Why could he still be this relaxed after being injured like that? Jaejoong looked around and realized that many students were watching them. Not a few directed their cellphones to record this incident. Of course, this made Jaejoong stop. He really cares about his image. Not to mention that he is the successor of the famous Kim Inc family that he is so proud of.

He straightened himself. Fixing his sleeves. Meanwhile, Lisa spat blood from his mouth. The back of his shirt and pants are dirty. I can't see his face because his back facing us, but I know his face is busted.

"Jennie! Come over here!" Jaejoong exclaimed. He looked at me angrily. I didn't flinch and just stay in my place. Mostly because of Rosie and Jisoo's grip.

"JENNIE!" Jaejoong shouted.

"Don't shout at her! She can hear you but won't obey you!" Lisa exclaimed irritably.

"Why? Are you hiding behind these lowly people and criminals now? Did he force you and threaten you to turn away from me?" Jaejoong sneered while pointing at Lisa.

"Don't accuse if there is no evidence," Lisa reply casually. "Jennie is not hiding from anyone. And of course, no one needs to dictate something for her to decide or do. She is strong and very capable of deciding for herself. She is very precious, but you fail to appreciate, which I would never do because she is worth it. She deserved it," he continued firmly. "If you don't believe it, just ask. We'll see what her decision is," he said, then looked at me gently. His lips were bleeding, his temples were bleeding too. His cheeks looked blue.
