"Christmas is the day that holds all time together." - Alexander Smith.
——————————————————–
Christmas is the best holiday anyone could ever celebrate. You and your loved ones spend the time together, talking, laughing, playing, and enjoying your time with each other.
Alexander never celebrated Christmas when he was alive in his era. He didn't have anyone to even celebrate it with, he always spent his time just working and being an orphan.
It wasn't until when he came to this era that he truly knew what Christmas was all about.
His first Christmas was just weird; strange to be exact. He spent it with Chris's family.
Chris took Alex to his house, to meet his mother. Alex was opposed to the idea of going with him, he didn't want to intrude with their celebration, but, Chris insisted he went.
The first time he met Chris's mother, it was weird in his perspective. Chris told her everything about Alex's past life from him being an orphan to living on his own.
The woman took no hesitation in pulling Alex in a big hug and welcoming him to the family. Alex just stood still; embarrassingly. Chris was laughing at the look Alex had plastered on his face but was also happy that he was now part of the family.
Carmen Medina, who was the mother of Chris and his sister. Invited Alex to spend the holiday with them, Alex was about to decline but it was futile as the lady didn't take a 'no' for an answer.
By the time Alex knew it, he was already sitting at a table with Chris, Carmen, his sister, and his stepfather. Enjoying the food that was in the middle of the table.
This was the first time in his life that he enjoyed Christmas with a family, his whole life was always about working and not having no one to spend a holiday with.
The whole afternoon they spent it talking, laughing, and sharing information about their personal lives.
Alex quickly grew fond of Chris's stepfather who had a great sense of humor. He would observe how he would tease his wife which ended up getting a slap as a result.
He also became great friends with Chris's sister, though, what made him feel weirded out was how clingy she was to him.
When it was time to open gifts, they all couldn't help but feel bad that they didn't get anything for Alex. "It's fine, you all didn't know I was coming. Besides, I think I already got my gift, spending it with you guys," Alex would say.
That would instantly make everyone pull him into a hug, which Alex would wrap his arms around them, sheepishly.
The next day after the holiday. Carmen insisted that they at least stayed for a couple of months before they left to live on their own.
Again, Alex didn't want to intrude on their house. But, he didn't have a say in anything as Chris agreed, and they both decided to stay for a bit.
In the end, Alex ended up agreeing and decided to stay. This was going to be the first time he stayed with the family of his greatest guitar idol.
For the next couple of months. Alex has spent it mostly working with Chris and acquiring money. Money wasn't the issue since his wallet granted him an infinite amount.
He would help the family with paying the mortgage and with anything else they needed help with. It was another way for him to show how thankful he was.
Carmen and her husband would always tell him that he didn't have to do it, and he shouldn't even do it in the first place.
Alex would just chuckle before responding, "It's another way for me to be grateful for letting me stay here. Besides, money ain't a big deal since I can always get it."
