Inhaling the smell of trees and flowers, Alex let out a heavy breath, sighing in satisfaction with the smell of nature entering his nostrils.
After arriving at the city of McAllen early in the morning, then having a few hours to spare to relax before performing for hours. Alex would agree that's it's time to chill and relax once and for all.
His fingers were starting to kill him from strumming the guitar strings all the time with no break at all – even Chris, who played the guitar longer than him, was starting to complain of his finger joints killing him from also strumming the guitar all the time.
Regardless of all of that, the performance was spectacular like always as the concert was soon packed with most of the cities population, coming to see Selena perform.
Witnessing the massive amount of fans chanting Selena y Los Dinos caused Alex to ignore the pain, and continue playing so Selena could get the recognition she deserves after all these years.
Looks like things were going the way they were supposed to go; Selena's popularity flourishing without a single drawback.
Furthermore, after the show ended, the band had to wrap things up by packing their things. Now that they were finished, they decided to hang back a little bit more, enjoy their time here in McAllen before hitting the road for one last performance.
A.B, Suzette, Pete, Chris, and Joe started to celebrate with a little drinking, nothing wrong with that, but Alex hoped they watch their intake of alcohol, he didn't want to see his friends in a state of inebriation.
Excusing himself away from the group, Alex decided to take a quick stroll around the area, wanting to be alone for the time being. He didn't mind hanging back and talking to his friends, but for some reason, he wanted to be himself.
Walking a good amount of distance from the tour bus, through the corner of his eyes, Alex was able to spot a wooden bench on the other side of the street. Making his way over there, Alex groaned in exhaustion as he sat down, tired from standing all day.
He took his time to gaze at his surroundings, especially the full moon that plastered the sky. Night had already fallen for them, and the sounds of crickets chirping were adding to Alex's serenity.
Nights like these were the ones Alex loved all the time. They reminded him of when he first arrived in Texas, a long time ago. Unknowingly enough, Alex couldn't remember his other 'past' life anymore. It's like all of his memories from his past life disappeared, but he still knows what he's supposed to do here, in this era.
This has been going on for a little while now, him freaking out since he couldn't remember anything anymore, leaving him frustrated and bitter. At this point, he couldn't help but accept the fact his memories vanished.
Letting an exasperated sigh from his distressing thoughts, Alex didn't notice the presence of another individual sitting beside him.
"Something troubling your ail, Alex?"
Turning to the source of the voice, the guitarist of the group stared in surprise at the Tejano queen who sat next to him, smiling with a bright smile that stirred something inside of him.
Alex shook his head. "No, nothing is troubling me."
Arching an eyebrow, Selena couldn't help but inquire. "Are you sure? You know you can tell me anything, I'm here for you." she placed a hand on his shoulder.
He glanced at her small and soft hand before giving a smile of assurance. "I'm fine, Selena. I'm just tired, that's all."
Slightly squinting her eyes for any lies, she soon returns the smile. "Good. I thought I was the only one tired, like, honestly, I feel like I will one day faint from all these shows." she playfully placed a hand on her forehead, pretending to fall to the ground.
