Kurapika bought the book on the Phantom Troupe, and then the two of you headed out of the library. You both sat on a bench right next to the exit. You were kind of nervous to be honest, you looked a wreck, and the two of you hadn't spoken in years.
"You still wear the bracelet too huh?" he asked you, trying to start a conversation.
"I don't think I've ever left the house without it," you laughed.
"I'm sorry I never called," he started. Uh oh. "I-I was just so focused on revenge I pushed you away. But um, h-how is everyone?" he asked.
You explained everything that had happened while he was gone. Gon nearly dying, Alluka saving him, Leorio almost becoming the chairman.. You had forgotten how much you enjoyed talking to him. He was shocked by all the news, and seemed a little upset on how much he missed out on. Apart of you felt bad, but after all, he was the one who pushed you away.
"Wanna go grab dinner? We can both go in my car and we can come back for yours after." he offered. Obviously you weren't going to turn him down.
"Yeah, that'd be nice." you answered. Suddenly, he stood up and took your hand, it was the one wearing your friendship bracelet. You rolled your eyes and grinned at him as the both of you made your way to his cherry-coloured car, holding hands.
It was nice being with him again. It was almost like you were never apart. You laughed together, and teased each other, and distracted each other from everything wrong in your lives. Then, a thought crossed your mind.
"Hey. Kurapika?" you said as he opened the passenger door for you. "Why are you even in this town?"
"Your local library was the only place with a copy of this." he responded, holding up the book you had both shown interest in. "Plus, I-I was kind of hoping I'd bump into you.."
