This is my first fantasy book so please just bear with it as I progress and make improvements in my writing within this genre. I have always thought of writing a fantasy book but I never had the confidence that I'll be able to create one but now i'm just literally pushing myself into this unknown territory. I must admit that the plot this book is not complete and changes might happen along the way as well as how the story progress.
I based this book in my experiences as a witch, just do note that even though this book might have similarities within witchcraft it is still a fantasy. No witch can just say "Accio Broom" and suddenly a broom is flying towards you. Not every information about witchcraft is a 100% accurate in this book and should not be considered as a reference book for witchcraft.
Witch is a neutral gender term so that should ease your confusion if why am I calling male witches a "witch" instead of wizard. Wizard are from fantasy books, although some might associate themselves with this words most don't and just generally associate themselves as witch, be it male, female or the they.
A young nun carrying a small paper bag that contains a few herbs and crystals walks along the night of snow and winter, It is almost Christmas. A great time for the orphanage as many donations come in during this season, making sure that every children inside of the shelter healthy and happy with the gifts that also come along with the envelopes of money and boxes of clothes.
As she walks towards back the orphanage a piercing cry of a babe rang loud in the cold night from the direction of her goal. Her insticts tells her that something's wrong. She walked faster but not without bumping with a crying lady that muttered sorry before running again as if in a hurry. Such her brain connected the two immediately making her look back again towards the direction of her the young lady run off to just to see no one.
She immediately run towards to the gates of the orphanage where most likely the crying baby is. And upon arriving she noticed the source of cries, a basket covered in thick blankets. She removed the blankets only to reveal a small babe with teary grey eyes and white hair. Her heart immediately clenched with sadness for the poor baby.
"i'm here, I'm here, shhh.." The nun swings the baby back and forth in attempt to calm down thet certain babe. "You're safe now..." She noticed the content of the basket that contains a note that says Miyuki Grey and two books with intricate designs. "You're safe now Miyuki, safe and warm." She said with a smile as she looks at the eyes of the baby named Miyuki.
She settled her paper bag into the basket with the child in her warm arms and walked inside the gates and into the safety of house from the cold night with her saying.
"Of Winter and Snow, Protection are now yours. So mote it be" The stars sparkled, the wind became stronger and snow falled for Miyuki is now safe and sound.
