I am just a witch, nothing more, nothing less. No, I'm not like those main characters in your books that are unexplainably so powerful nor a chosen one to save the world. I am just a simple witch that would rather live in a cottage in the forest surrounded by herbs and animals. But sadly reality is much more than that, I have to go to school and get a degree and job and live and blend in this world without standing out too much that could possibly reveal the hidden world of this planet.

I never met any other witches other than the Sister Mary who take care of us here in the orphanage. Well being an orphan is the one of the two main character esque traits I have. She is a solidarity witch, she helped me with my abilities. She found me 17 years ago in front of the gates of this humble orphanage in the middle of winter inside of a basket covered with thick blankets with a note and a pair of books which are grimoires. Which reveals a baby with grey eyes and white hair (I'm an albino sue me) with a necklace looping in its neck. The note only says, Miyuki Grey - December 9, 2002. At least I know my birthday and I am lucky for that because some of the kids in this place never knew their birthday.

The grimoire that my parents, presumably, left behind contains many spells and knowledge that would certainly help me but it never said which family I was from. Sister Mary said that most witch families joined a coven to fight the war or had gone to hiding, and surprisingly it was also during the war when I was born. And that is the last main character esque trait I have, thank you. The war between the witches and the werewolves. They called it the Moon War for both species are related to the moon and are always most powerful at full moon. The timeline of events could probably explain why I became an orphan, to hide me from the war and give me a peaceful life. Such thought gave me peace on why I was left behind but also saddens me.

But hey at least I live and never got to experience the now ended war, but Sister Mary said that the once connection of Werewolves and Witches are now gone. She never explained in detail why the war happened and I didn't push it since the mention of the war deeply saddens her which I assume that she lost someone during the War.

Today's task is to only clean the halls and buy some groceries for this weekend, saturday to be specific. I brushed the white hair that goes up to my shoulder before tying it into a ponytail in front of the mirror in the corner of my room. I checked myself out to see if I looked good before going out, black oversized shirt and blue shorts covered my 5'7 body along with many crystal rings and a few necklaces that decorated my neck. After nodding to my reflection I headed out to the living area to see that all of them are already there except Sister Mary. "Good Morning!" I greet with a big smile, and they did the same. "Hey Hugo, do you know where Sister Mary is?" I asked the small boy. Hugo nodded and pointed to the kitchen. "Thank you Hugo" I ruffled his hair and kissed his forehead before heading out to the kitchen.

"Good Morning Sister" I greeted her as soon as I saw her and kissed her cheeks. "Good Morning flower" She smiled before her face changed from soft to strict. "No sound may escape, These words of yours and mine shall remain a secret. So mote it be" A rise of energy can be felt as it surrounds us to do it's task to not let any sound be heard by others. "Be careful today, The Tower keeps appearing in my decks, along with Ace of Cups" I was about to say something before she cut me off. "I know Two of Cups means good but the Tower? That could be a no, I just want you to be careful today. Wear as much protection as possible and veil yourself this time! Honestly!" I grimaced as she scolded me for the veil. As an empath I should always be wearing veil to protect myself from unwanted and outside emotions and energies but I always keep forgetting to do so.

"I'll try." I said sheepishly. The nun rolled her eyes at the white haired boy. "You know what to buy but there is a list in the table-" She points towards the dining table where a small paper and a few bills can be seen "-and money, do what you want outside just be back before lunch with the groceries." I nodded and kissed her cheeks as a goodbye and did the same to the people in the living area where Sam, Natasha, Hugo, Alexa, and Chris are watching T.V. "Be careful out there!" Hugo said as he hugged me before letting go. "I'll be careful sweetheart, I promise" I said, kissing his forehead wearing a bandana as a veil before heading out of the door and the gates of the orphanage.
