I got off of my bike and walked over next to Sarah, who was watching Benny and Ethan being held in headlock by some jock. " Enjoying the show?" I joke standing next to her.

She chuckled lightly, " Yeah. Do you think we should go and help them?"

" Probably...but I think they can handle themselves." I say still watching them in a head lock. The jock gave them one last squeeze then letting them go.

" All right, listen up, geeks. From now on, we meet best buds. Got it?" The jock said aggressively.

" Huh, that's not what I expected to happen." I say. Ethan and Benny quickly agree with jock, and he gives them a hard punch in the shoulder before leaving.

" Neither did I." Sarah said suspiciously. " Whatever, wanna head to class?"

" Sure." I agreed. While walking to the school we past Benny and Ethan.

" Hey, wanna go out?" Benny asked me as I walked by. " I've got the David Stachowski seal of approval."

" Just because you said that, no." I say.

" Oh." He said looking down but then his head popped up realizing what I said. " Wait, what?"

I giggled and turned back around walking with Sarah. " I can't believe you just did that!" Sarah laughed giving me a nudge on the shoulder.

" I mean yeah. I would've said yes if he did add in the part about David Stachowski." I shrugged then heading into our first class.

Sarah and I walked into the lounge and the first thing we see is Ethan struggling with the vending machine. Sarah walked over and hit the vending machine with her hand and loads of candy bars fell out and onto the floor.

" Is that one of your fledgling powers?" Ethan asks.

" Not a power. Just a perk." She shrugs. Ethan picks up his candy bar and we walk over sitting in the couch.

" So, where's your new jock BFF?" I ask jokingly, Ethan gave me a sarcastic laugh. " We saw you guys with David."

" Something's weird. It's like the lions started hanging out with the zebras." Ethan said. He then explain how David started to show up at his house and does whatever he wants.

" Who's got two thumbs, three free candy bars, and is best buds with Dave Stachowski." Benny said sitting down next to me. " That's right, this guys."

" I, uh, see what you mean." Sarah said.

" It gets worse. It's like he's inserted himself into my life." Ethan adds.

" So he eats all you food. Not enough to break up a good bromance." I tease propping my legs up on the coffee table.

" There's more. The guy howls." Ethan says.

" Woo-hoo! Free candy bar!" David said excitedly, then howling right after.

" A lot of dudes howl. It's a jock animal thing." Benny justifies.

" I can't be the only on who's noticed how hairy he is." Ethan said then tell us the story of David asking him to brush his back hair in the locker room.

" So he's hairy. A lot of guys are hairy. It's a... hairy guy thing." Benny tries to justify.

" It's basic math: howling plus hair plus this town equals—"

" Awesome." Benny guesses cutting Ethan off.

" Werewolf." Ethan says.

" Werewolf." Benny corrects.
