The first term of our school year just finished and I'm ranked ninth in the honor students list. I'm actually okay with it since I believe I've done my best, as I always do. Although, next time I wish to ascend in the higher numbers. Speaking of academic stuffs...
"OMG MAR!" I gasped at her and in return, she stared at me in horror, "Next time you do that, I'm gonna die of heart attack!" She sighed and gave me the 'explain-why-the-heck-are-you-yelling-like-that' look. "Well," she raised an eyebrow at me as I spoke, "Achievement test," I mumbled in her ear slowly in every syllable.
"OH MY WHAT THE HELL STELL!" She stood and slapped the armchair as everyone eyed her in horror. Well, if you ask me, Marie is the busiest and assiduous student in the class. One reason is that, she was elected as the President. Second, she is an honor student. Third, people expect her to have gratifying outputs especially with the bulletin board of the class. Lastly, almost everyone simply puts pressure in her, and no, count me out on that one.
"Stell, why didn't you remind me earlier," she glared at me and I squinted my eyes, "Well, I too just realized it the moment before I yelled like someone in my family got killed except that no one really got killed because I'm just actually acting it out like that. I mean, am I even making sense?" Marie snickered and I put on my infamous incredulous look. "Stell, take it easy buddy. So little time and so many things to do. The test is on thursday right?" I nodded, "I should go to the library and study. It's two days from now and my mind seems to be empty. Later Mar," I waved at her as I made my way out of the class.
The library was just a minute away from our class so it didn't took me long enough until I'm stepping on its doorway. The librarian greeted me and gestured for me to log in the logbook which lie on the table on my right. In less than a few seconds, I'm on my way to the 'Science and Technology' book section. By all means, I have to study Chemistry and Biology thoroughly so that I could get a high grade and not just a passing one.
I make my way through the unoccupied table near the corner on the left side which I consider a very adequate and cozy spot for someone like me who loves that stuff. Sitting on the complacent seat, I sighed in relief and started turning the book onto specific pages I searched from the table of contents. Then suddenly, someone stood athwart me.
Those familiar pair of cocoa tinted eyes....
That man from yesterday.
"H-H-H-H-How c-come?!" I gasped, taken aback by his presence, "Ssssh, the librarian will kick us out," he muttered under his breath and sat on the empty seat across me.
"A-Are you here to study or just p-play around?" I questioned and arched a brow at him.
"Hmm? Obviously to study."
"Why are you always following me?"
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"A-are you a stalker?!" I gasped in horror and widened my eyes.
"What? I'm here thirty minutes ago on the other side," he pointed at the now empty table on the back of the librarian. "Didn't see me there?" I shook my head and replied, "Sorry, I didn't.." I lowered my head embarassed of my own sudden outburst. The librarian is already keeping an eye on us and gestured for us to lower down the tone of our voices.
We just proceeded on reading the books we have right now as response to the deep silence pervading the atmosphere. It was then I realized that he had a calm and composed self while reading. Gaping at his face, I could see him piercing through what he's reading. Are men mostly like this?
"Don't mind me, just read. I have different reading habits according to which person I am with at the moment and for some reason, I can read snugly right now. I am curious about it too," he smirked but not taking his eyes off of what he is reading. "S-shut up.." I muttered lowly and turned beet red while quickly turning the book upright so that he couldn't see how red I am.
This guy is officially unbelievable!
Shifting on my seat uneasily, I finally gave in to the fact that I can't focus on studying like this. How come this guy made it uneasy for me to act in this kind of situation? Like, what the hell?
"Hmm...? Why are you turning red?"
Shoot.
And now he can see through my book?! That's creepy and unbelievable and it made me blush more, like I could even run for the Ms. Always Blushing of the year 2012! I sighed and arranged the books that I'm currently reading and returned them to where they belong to. I can't study like this and I really need to get high grades on the test.
"Well, I need to go, see you...later," I waved at him and didn't bother to look back so that I wouldn't blush like an idiot again because of that signature killer smile of his. Sighing at myself, I finally decided to go home and in fact, my service is calling me right now.
My grades will diminish if I keep on fooling around with that guy!
I have to study and forget about what happened.
