*nova's pov*

louis and i had left the auditorium after finding out that we had gotten the roles of romeo and juliet. we went to look for the rest of the group and found them at the cafeteria at one of the tables.

"omg, you guys are finally back. how'd the auditions go?" valerie questioned. me and louis had already planned to act like it went horrible so we could prank our friends.

"uh not good to be honest. we were really bad, constantly laughing and i actually tripped over louis' foot somehow." i was really trying to sell the story here.

"oh and let's not forget the best part. she poked me in the eye.." louis continued. they all looked confused because they all knew how good louis and i were at acting until luke grinned at me.

"ha ha ha. very funny guys, congrats on romeo and juliet." luke said. louis and i exchanged looks.

"how did you know?" we both asked simultaneously.

"you guys suck as lying," luke finally said. nailea and valerie let out a sigh of relief and came over to hug us along with luke. they congratulated us both and started talking to louis while luke pulled me over to talk. "so what did he have to say when you told him how you were feeling?"

"i never said anything," i looked up and saw luke giving me an 'are you kidding me?' kind of look. "i know, i know, i should've said something but the timing wasn't right and i couldn't bring myself to say anything," i explained.

"it's okay, it's fine but you'll tell him eventually right? i don't think it's fair for louis to be in the dark."

"yeah, of course. i'll tell him soon." luke gave me another look. "i promise."

*louis' pov*
*2 weeks after the auditions*

nova and i were hanging out at the skatepark and i was teaching her how to skate.

"make sure i don't fall!" she squealed.

"ahaha, i wont. you can trust me." i looked down into her eyes and smiled at her. "seriously, i wont." she placed her feet onto the skateboard and was getting ready to do a drop in.

"AHHHHH!" she screamed as she went down. i quickly ran after her to make sure she was okay and obviously she was not. she had fallen over and grazed her knee pretty badly but i think she was going to survive.

"ouch ouch ouch, i said ouch you idiot," she says while slapping my hand away from her knee.

"sorry," i laughed. i helped her up and carried her to the side to cure the cut. i looked over to see nova shedding a tear or two. "hey, you okay?" she wiped the tears off her face and looked back at me.

"yeah, the alcohol wipes just hurt a bit."

"aww you'll be okay sweetheart," i said jokingly trying to cheer her up. she laughed and eventually i was done cleaning up her cut.

"thanks louis," she said as we walked out of the park.

"yeah of course. it's no biggie." it was starting to get late and i didn't want nova to walk home alone so i offered for her to stay at my place since my sisters and parents weren't home.
