lost ring

Ive searched everywhere and i cant seem to find my ring. What kind of idiot loses something so important oh thats right me. I need to finish destroying the pieces. I use rocks to crush everything to dust. After a couple hours i get a call.

"kid where are you?"stark says

"looking for my ring"i respond

"Val you were at alot of places maybe you just have to give up and come to the tower"he says

"no i cant it was the last thing
he gave me and i can't just forget about it." i respond

"you want some help? i can send reinforcements" he said

"actually can you send me a drone."i say

"a drone got it on its way to you"he said

"thanks stark i'll be there as soon as i find it." i say as i hang up

As im waiting for the drone i decide to call Agent Hill.

"Any information on the enhanced?" i ask

"i was wondering when you'd call heres what we found out. Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. Twins. Orphaned at ten when a shell collapsed their apartment building. Sokovia's had a rough history. It's nowhere special but it's on the way to everywhere special." she says

"their abilities?" i ask

"He's got increased metabolism and improved thermal homeostasis. Her thing is neural electric interfacing telekinesis, and mental manipulation." she says

"so he can run fast and shes a witch got it. Thanks Hill." i say as i hang up seeing the drone.

"jarvis do a search of sokovia for any objects made of uru metal" i say

"i have found a small object made of it its currently on a person i can see their heat source" he says

"where jarvis?" i ask

As he directs me where i see the twins. I hide from them. I see them talking.

"you're jealous you're not getting a dress" he says

"you keep stealing and you're going to get shot." she says

I step out infront of them.

"or worse get caught." i say

I see Wanda ready to use her powers and he's ready to run.

"relax im not gonna hurt you my powers are drained." i say it was half true i am tired

"what do you want then" she says

holding her hand up making sure her powers are showing

"jarvis who has the metal?" i say

"the one on your right" he responds

"i just want the ring you have and i'll be on my way." i say turning towards the Pietro

He takes off the necklace with the ring and hands it to me studying my face as a wave of relief washes over me. Suddenly im getting a call from Steve. I look at them i could easily turn them in but they've been through alot. Fuck. Why couldn't i be heartless. I hold my finger to them signaling them to wait. As a sign of trust i put it on speaker.

"hey cap" i say

"hey Val are you almost done with getting rid of the things from New York" he asks

"yeah i finished destroying it im still looking for my ring." i say

"i know that ring means alot to you but come home soon. We miss your snarky comments." he says

"steve i'll be back once i find my ring once i got it i'll go home." i say

"you know you'll always have the memories with him even if you can't find the ring. It won't be like you'll forget about him it'll be 10 months since his death soon and as far as i can tell you keep his memory alive" he said

"i know but i cant lose that ring anyways gotta go steve bye" i say hanging up.

"why didn't you tell him you knew where we were?" asked wanda

"like i said i only wanted the ring thats it how did you get it anyways " i say

"i found it in the snow and i thought it was nice" he responded

"well thank you for giving me back my ring. Now let me properly introduce myself im Valentina or Val for short." i say

"Im Wanda and this is Pietro" she says

"well as fun as this has been i have to go. Jarvis start up the quinjet please location Avengers towers. Thanks again. Bye." i say as i walk away

As im nearing the quinjet i feel someone behind me. I quickly blast them from the back of my hands with me still facing forward . I turn to see Pietro there on the ground.

"FUCK why would you do that." i say as i run towards where he lays on the ground.

" i wanted to make sure that you were safe." he says

"why would you do that?" i say

" i dont know i felt like i should've done it so i did it. Your really beautiful did you know that" he says with a smile

"Jarvis full body scan i think he has a concussion." i say

"he does appear to have a concussion." he says

I grab pietro hand and feel butterflies but ignore them and try to heal him. As im healing him i see memories of me he watched me fight the soldiers. He was watching me after he ran past me. After I feel he is healed. I let go as quick as i can.

"all better now go back to your sister. i have to go." i say as i help him up.

I begin walking away when i feel his eyes still watching me so i turn around and say

"i think you're very cute to." as i hop on quinjet.

I hear his laugh and see him leave.

"Jarvis not a single word to them about this is confidential." i say
"now kept under confidential records of Valentina Lance" he responds

As the jet heads home i cant stop thinking about the butterflies. I haven't felt this way since Loki. As i keep playing with the ring i can't help think of Pietro. No i cant do this again . I can't keep falling for the bad guys. Last time they were forgiving because i actually helped maybe this time they won't be. Fuck why is it always the bad guys that are so fucking attractive.
