Over the next couples of days Hill tells us that Ultron has been all over the globe.
"fatalities?" i ask her
"only when engaged. Mostly guys left in a fugue state going on about old memories, worst fears, and something too fast to see" she responds
"Maximoffs Well, that makes sense he'd go to them, they have someone in common." steve says
"not anymore" hill says as she hands us a tablet
On the tablet she handed us Strucker dead and the word Peace written out in blood. Gruesome. It reminded me of the fisher king episode from criminal minds. As we continue walking we see barton on the phone
"barton we might have something" steve says
"gotta go" barton says into the phone
"who was that?" steve asked
"girlfriend" barton responds
"what since when, why haven't i heard about her" i say
"Val focus" steve said
" right we'll finish this later barton" i say
As we enter the room where the rest of the Avengers were. Steve shows them the tablet with the photo of Struckers body.
"whats this a message?" stark says
"i thought its the connection that Ultron had to the twins but its not." steve says
I keep thinking back to the memories i had gotten from Wanda when i see it.
"stark" i say
"what is it?" nat says
"they do have something in common they have something against Stark. Hill told you guys that a shell crashed into their home and killed their parents. Take a lucky guess whos name was on the side of it" i say
"stark" steve says
"that must've been back when i didn't care who i sold to wait back up how do you know that?" he asks
"i healed her but something happened when i touched her memories came to me but they weren't mine they were hers" i say
"you always have to save the bad guy this is Loki all over again." stark says
I look at him and storm out of the room.
" Stark" steve says as i leave the room
"what did i lie?" stark replies
I go up to the balcony and sit there. He just had to bring him up. Maybe it was wrong but i couldn't leave her hurt. He doesn't understand how i feel when i see a specific type of hurt people like i can sense a strong pain emotionally and physically. I feel someone behind me
"you know i never thought my brother would fall in love" thor says
"you and me both" i say as he sits next to me
"i know how you feel but Stark has a point you always help people even if there bad. I think thats what makes you worthy." he says
"i miss him" i say leaning into him
"i do to little one" he says wrapping his arm around my shoulders
"do you think he'd still be alive if i wasn't there?" i say
"i don't know what i do know is he died because he loved you and you have to remember that. You know you're the only girl who has ever truly made Loki fall in love." he says
"how do you know" i say
"Well for starters he made you a crown because he wanted you to feel like a queen. He bought you a dress because he thought you'd look gorgeous in it. And finally that ring that you have around your neck was his most sacred possession. He never took it off. My mother had given it to him. Told him to use it for when that special someone comes into his life." he says
"really?" i say as my eyes water
"really" he responds
I stand up so does Thor. And we hug. Not a romantic hug or a friend hug but more like a hug family gives.
"and if im honest i would've been honored to have you as how do you people say it sister-in-law" he says
"thanks we should probably head back." i say
"yes we should after you" thor says
As we head back the team is looking thru files. We begin to help them until Tony recognizes one saying he black markets arms. Thor then sees something on his neck. Stark thinks it maybe a tattoo while Thor thinks its a brand and hands me the photo.
"its a word in an African dialect meaning thief" banner say
"what dialect?" steve asks
"wakanda" i say
"wait if its from wakanda and he's marked as a thief what comes out of wakanda" i immediately look at stark
"the strongest metal on earth" he says
"we need to locate him now" steve says
"on it" banner and stark say
"got it suit up" stark says
I head to my room and change into my suit. It was like Nats shield suit but without the shield logo and green + black. I place my hair up into a ponytail.
"Jarvis get me throwing knives" i say
but forgot we no longer have Jarvis. I go into the compartment of weapons in my room and i get the knives Loki taught me how to use. "Remember always release your weight as you throw the knives it makes it more effective." he'd always tell me. I take off my necklace and take out the ring placing it on my finger.
"this time i wont lose you" i say to the ring.
I go outside and into the quinjet where we're waiting on Barton. Then we see him coming.
"sorry had to stock up good" he says holding a bag of arrows
"i hope you shock yourself that'd be funny" i say
"someones in a mood" he says
"yes i am so dont piss me off." i respond to him smiling
"what did i do to deserve this treatment" he says
"don't be a big baby your mean to me to barton" i respond back
"thats different" he says
"oh yeah how is it different" i respond
"it just is" he responds
