I can't believe I have to work on Christmas! Christmas! For Gods sake, isn't Christmas meant to be a time for laughter and joy with family... Not work! Oh well, I guess now I can't really get out of it since I already told Sarah I'd be there. It's Christmas Eve and only just one week ago I had finished my year at school and now was on holidays. I was spending the night with my aunt who finished work early. It was quite chilly so I had an over-sized red jumper and some casual black leggings with ugg-boots on.
"Would you like to put the tree up with me?" My aunt had asked.
"We have a tree?" I asked her concerned, since we had never put the tree up.
"Yes, of course! Are you silly?" My aunt shot a smile at me as I smiled back and swiftly got up from the couch to help her get the tree out of the cupboard it was in in the hallway.
It was a white tree and came with blue and silver decorations. In my opinion I was in love with it. Me and my aunt had no idea how to put it all together, so being our silly selves we had to read the exact instructions. Turns out it was easier then we had both thought.
Decorating it was easy, throw a bit of tinsle everywhere, and snowflakes and ball balls. I had put a beautiful silver star on the top, even though stars weren't silver it didn't really matter. It was beautiful.
"Looks like tha'ts all done... What's the time, Harri?" My aunt asked me as I pulled out my phone.
"11:30" I told her as I read a text slowly in my head from Savannah.
It's Louis Tomlinsons freaking birthday! oh my God! he's 21! omg!
I giggled to myself as I kissed my aunt on the cheek and headed for a good nights sleep for my noon shift tomorrow.

"Wake up wake up wake up!" I felt my aunt jump on top of me while I groaned on this cold morning. "Merry Christmas my beautiful not so little Harri!" My eyes had finally opened as my aunt kissed my forehead and a smile spread across my face.
"Merry Christmas Aunt Lynn!" I said as I hugged her giggling in her arms.
"Come on we've got presents to open from Santa!" Aunt Lynn was always super excited about Christmas, when I lived in Australia while I was younger she would always call me to say Merry Christmas in the most cheerful voice someone could have.
I shuffled into the living room as my bare feet met the cold floorboards. Looking under the tree to find lots of sorts of presents, made me feel like I was a little kid again but I was so excited. I walked over to the tree to help my aunt sort all the presents.
"This, this, this, and this is for you, love." She said as she handed me a few small presents. I opened them slowly as my aunt watched me. In my first present to open, I found a cute onsie with cookies on it, I laughed and took in the moment, it was so cute and I love it so much! As I tried it on over my baggy pajamas my aunt laughed hysterically at me. My second present was black Dock Martens, they were so expensive... How did my aunt even afford them!? But I adored them and she knew they've always been what I wanted. In my third present there was a few singlets and a nice blazer. My fourth present I kept until last, because I knew it was something special, I could feel it. As I slowly un-wrapped the tiny present, my eyes met a small jewlery box... But to open inside there was such a beautiful site. A beautiful necklace with the letter 'S' hanging so peacfully at the bottom.
"For your mother." My aunt had said to break the silence as I stared at the necklace. I nodded.
"Will you put it on for me, please?" I asked her as she nodded to me and swiftly put the necklace on me.
