-Katsuki's POV-
I lean back on the couch as I glare at Shoto. He tries not to look in my direction as he pulls up his cliff note on his laptop. He brushes a lock of his hair behind his ear and I catch the movement of his throat as he gulps. Mitsuki has overstepped this time by inviting this boy here. He knows where I live now, giving him the power to show up whenever he very wells feel like it. I can't have him invading my life.
"Katsuki" Mitsuki says sternly. "Stop being so mean. And put on a shirt, we have a guest".
"I live here. I don't have to wear a shirt if I don't want to and plus we're both boys" I explain, never breaking my glare away from Shoto.
"It's fine, really" Shoto says as he turns to face Mitsuki in the kitchen, his eyes skimming past me. "It doesn't bother me" He finally looks in my direction and I catch his eyes travel along my chest and arms. His cheeks turn a light shade of pink and I keep the smile off my face as I see him shift uncomfortably. If I'm lucky, he'll leave and I won't have to deal with him again.
"Are you hungry Shoto?" Mitsuki asks. "I'm just finishing up dinner and you're welcome to join".
"No thank you" Shoto replies, flashing Mitsuki a small smile.
"Focus!" I say, snapping my fingers. Shoto snaps his attention back to me. A disgusted look crosses his face. He kind of look cute...No! No he doesn't! "I don't have all night" I continue.
"I'm not a dog" He says, narrowing his eyes at me. "Don't snap your fingers at me" This kid really has spunk. You never know when he's going to snap. He's clearly afraid of me, but it's obvious he isn't afraid to stand up for his self. I admire that.
"Katsuki, could you at least try to be a little nicer?" Mitsuki asks. I sigh, annoyance bubbling up inside me. "He's here to help you. The least you could do is be respectful".
"Shut up Mitsuki!" I snap. Her eyes open wide with shock from my out burst. "Stop trying to control me. Just because this boy is here, don't suddenly think you have any authority".
Mitsuki opens her mouth to speak, but changes her mind as she closes her mouth and excuses herself. She rushes upstairs and I hear the faint sound of a door close.
"You talk to your mother that way?" Shoto asks as he looks at me with furrowed brows.
"I don't consider her my mother" I reply.
"But she gave birth to you and raised you. Don't you think you should treat her better?"
"The way I feel about Mitsuki is none of your business" I say. "Now let's get to the stupid book so you can finally leave".
With a sigh and a roll his eyes, he goes back to pulling up notes on his laptop. I recline back on the couch and put my feet up on the coffee table, crossing one leg over the other.
"How much have you read of The Tale of Genji?" He asks, not looking away from his laptop.
"Um, none, Do I look like the type of guys who reads in his spear time?"
My ringtone suddenly blares and Shoto jumps from the sudden sound. I keep from laughing at his jumpiness as I grab the phone from the coffee table and check the number. Shigaraki's number shows across my screen and I sigh in frustration. So much for calling him first. Shoto looks at me with a raised brow, probably wondering if I'm planning to answer the phone.
"Give me a minute" I say.
I stand from the couch as I answer the phone. I leave the room, trying to avoid Shoto overhearing my conversion.
"Shigaraki?" I say into the phone once far enough away.
"Katsuki!" He says warmly. "It's nice to hear your voice again, though it's changed over the years. You sound like a man"
