Chapter two - pregnancy

The night had left Riverdale hours ago when the beautiful waitress opened her diner. As always she started her shift by cleaning the dozen of tables at Pops. Every move felt like a dream to her, it felt unrealistic and her head seemed heavier than normal. No doubt, her boyfriend's accident had left some scars. She hadn't heard anything from him since the ambulance brought the young man to the hospital last night. A familiar voice appeared behind her, and within a second her day started to become a little lighter. "Hey Tabitha, I heard what happened!", the redheaded woman was standing behind her. "I am so sorry!", she continued and walked to the waitress. "I hope so!", Tabitha answered worried. "If you want to visit him, I can always go with you!", her friend offered and hugged her softly. "Thank you, Cheryl! That means a lot to me!", she laid her head on the young woman's shoulder. "I'm parking outside, so we can go right now!", Tabitha looked at the red car parking outside the diner. "Of course, I'll just call the other waitress, so she can continue preparing the diner!", Tabitha went off to do said thing. A couple of minutes later she walked to the car and set down next to Cheryl. "You got his room number?", the redhead started the car and drove off to the street. "Yes, room 372B...", she looked down. "Did they write you an email?", her friend asked. "Yes... he just awoke from a nap!", she turned her head to Cheryl, who was trying to focus on the street. "He awake?!", she started but had to dodge the other cars. "I thought it was just a little injury...", Tabitha said quietly. "But you know, it's a good sign that he woke up!", the redhead tried to light the mood. "Yes...", the worried woman said before arriving at the hospital. The two women walked inside the building, trying to find their friend's room. After passing the same plant three times, they decided to change the floor and finally found what they've been searching for, for what felt like an eternity. "Hey Hobo!", Cheryl said and opened the door of Jughead's Room. Tabitha was standing right behind her and looked at her boyfriend. But the young man was looking at someone else. A friend of them was sitting on the edge of the bed, sobbing and shaking. "Toni? Get out of the room, why are you even crying? He's fine, can't you see?", the redhead began to yell at her ex-girlfriend. "Stop yelling!", Tabitha said and held Cheryl back before she could drag Toni out by her hair. "What is going on Toni?", Tabitha then said. "Tabitha I'm preg-", she began but was stopped by Jughead. "So you're telling her?", he looked at her. "Telling me what?", Tabitha looked at Jughead and then back at Toni. "Tabitha, I'm pregnant, with his child!", Tabitha stepped backwards to Cheryl, who was opening her arms to comfort her. "I am so sorry, I was drunk and-", he tried to apologize. "Jugrat don't even try it!", Cheryl said, knowing what Tabitha needed now. "Cheryl mind your own business!", he walked to them, reaching for her hand. "Oh she will mind her own business, and so will I!", Tabitha said under tears before leaving the room.
