"Let's go in the garden,"
He held him close, humming gently.
"You'll find something waiting."
His eyes closed as his arms tightened around him, protecting his little brother.
"Right there where you left it,"
The fire flickered in the bitter air, the small flame keeping the two warm.
"Lying upsidedown."
As the two slept the fire died down, a sudden gust of wind having blown it out.
"When you finally find it,"
A large shadow swept over the two, not disturbing the sleeping boys in any way.
"You'll see how it's faded,"
The shadow was one of a man, one who had a warm caring smile, one who had large dark wings, and golden hair.
"The underside is lighter,"
His eyes rested on the boys, he approached them, slowly and carefully scooping them into his arms.
"When you turn it around."
His wings opened casting a dark shadow onto the land below him, he just as quickly took off into the starry sky.
"Everything stays,"
He gently soared above the dense forest, his actions slow and careful, as to not wake up the two in his arms.
"Right where you left it."
His eyes scanned over the forest, soon landing onto a familiar cottage in the center of it all.
"Everything stays,"
He gently landed in front of the house, the door opening upon his arrival.
"But it still changes."
A boy stood in the door way, his long pink hair past his shoulders, he stared at the figure of the man for a bit, soon letting him into the warm house.
"Ever so slightly,"
The man went inside, his wings tucked carefully into his back, a smile set on his face.
"Daily and nightly."
He oh so gently set the boys onto the couch, his movements soft and slow.
"In little ways,"
He quietly went off to his own bed soon followed by the pink haired boy, they both will explain to the two in the morning, but first they need to rest."When everything stays."
