Kuoh Town (3rd Person Pov)
Zhongli and Rin finally made it to Kuoh, Zhongli let Rin down who kissed his cheek as thanks, they then started to wander round town a bit, trying their best to not look suspicious which was hard considering the type of clothing Zhongli was wearing
Rin: Couldn't you have chosen something different to wear? We're getting a lot of stares...
Zhongli: These clothes that I wear are the only clothes I have, besides I think it looks good on me, as long as I think that then I shouldn't care what others think of it
Rin: I really shouldn't of asked...
Ganyu: Rin I sense something
Rin: Really? From where?
Ganyu: It's to the right of us
Zhongli: I can sense it too, a sinister dark energy... it's familiar to me
Rin: A dark energy you're familiar with? You haven't even left Chaldea before, how is that possible?
Zhongli: Don't ask questions, I have a divine being in my head, maybe that's why
Tomoe: Do you want us to check it out Master?
Rin: I'll come with you
Zhongli: I'd prefer you stay back
Rin: No, as your master I should accompany you, besides I'm not so weak that I can't defend myself, worst case scenario I'll just have to use 'that'
Ganyu: You said you won't ever use that and would rely on us
Rin: I know, I know... hey, where's Zhongli
Rin looks around for Zhongli then sees a flash of bronze down the alleyway making her release an exasperated sigh
Rin: Of course he went on by himself
Ganyu: Allow me to carry you Master
Rin: Huh?
With one swift movement Ganyu picked up Rin then charged towards the alleyway with Tomoe on her tail, they ran down to see it raining spears and a rather large demonlike spider being put down by Zhongli
Rin: What is that?!
Zhongli: A stray devil, it's probably a low ranked one seeing how I defeated it with ease
Tomoe: How do you even know that?
Zhongli: I read a lot of books whilst in isolation, most things about this world have been stored all up here
He points to his head indicating his brain specifically the hippocampus which is associated with declarative and episodic memory as well as recognition memory
Ganyu: It seems defeating it has rid it of its sinister energy
Zhongli: If we had left it we most likely would've been responsible in a few killings in the area
Tomoe: Hm, but shouldn't there be some kind of group that defends the town from these devils? I mean I can tell from the scratch marks around here that there have been battles before, that as well as the fact that there is always a group in video games
Rin: We should get to know this town a bit more, then perhaps we can track down if there are any exorcists
