Chapter 2: Snowflakes of a Schnee

(Dairoku's POV)

So, there we were, sitting at a noodle stand in the fairgrounds and Kuraime seemed... really eager about this place. While we waited for the noodle guy to show up, I was looking at my hand as Barbatos' claw was formed over it... Ozpin said that this wasn't Barbatos' true form so I'm curious to see what it could be. I focused on my palm as a small red orb formed... If I was to punch that, it would create a devastating beam of energy... How did mom handle so much raw power from a beast like this...?

Ruby: Dairoku?

I looked at Ruby who was looking at me, her head slightly tilted.

Me: Yes Roselyn?

Ruby: What are you doing?

Me: I'm... trying to figure out Barbatos...

I showed her the orb of energy and she looked at it in awe.

Ruby: Wow... it's so pretty!

Me: *Chuckles* This orb is really deadly... 'Barbatos Shot'. The amount of raw power Barbatos has is amazing... I'm just wondering how my mother handled it all...

Ruby: You're having trouble with it?

Me: Yeah... The two times I equipped the armor, I always felt really tired afterwards. Heck, every time I fire off this orb, I have trouble preventing myself from getting crushed by the recoil.

Ruby: Well Ozpin did say that Barbatos isn't at his true form yet; maybe it'll get easier once you unlock it.

Me: If I unlock it...

I sighed as the claw and orb disappeared. Ruby suddenly took my hand in hers and she smiled gently at me.

Ruby: Don't worry. I know you will. You're not one to back down from a fight, right?

I tightened my grip on her hand and smiled.

Me: Yeah, you're right.

We smiled at each other before the noodle man came out; it turns out it's that Dr. Wily lookalike from the Dust till Dawn Shop.

Yang: I'll have a bowl of the regular please.

Dr. Wily slid a bowl of noodles to Yang, to her delight.

Ruby: Ooohhh! I'll take the same!

He did the same for Ruby.

Celeste and I looked at each other before nodding.

Me: We'll *gesturing to me and Celeste* will take the same as them.

He slid two more bowls to Celeste and I.

Weiss: Hmm.... Do you have anything with low salt-

Before she could finish, Dr. Wily slid the same thing to Weiss.

Weiss: Um... Okay?

Tyros: I'll take the same as them.

He slid a bowl to Tyros. Then Kuraime and Blake just nodded at Dr. Wily as he nodded back. He zipped to be back and came out with two bowls, one with a bunch of fish on top for Blake, and one with every kind of meat for Kuraime. Stars appeared in their eyes as they began drooling. I Celeste and I chuckled at this as Tyros just sighed.

Tyros: How original sis... A cat Faunus who's afraid of dogs and loves fish...

Blake: I don't know what you're talking about.

Yang: Oh yeah! Don't forget I lured her over to me with a laser pointer once.

Kuraime suddenly stopped admiring her food and looked at Blake, her raising her eyebrow and Tyros just sighed, sounding disappointed.
