*QUICK P.S.A ~ I changed his name to Luke instead of James because the guy I imagined didn't look like a James at all, so- yeah.<3*

They hadn't spoken to each other in a week.

Y/N hadn't dared walk up to Harry, and Harry didn't dare walk up to Y/N.

Why? Well, her reason was because she was still conflicted. Her morals and her heart in constant battle, deciding whether or not to let Harry in. She loved him, in some odd way, she had already decided, and even that took a long time.

She didn't want to do this to him, because if she couldn't figure herself out, what chance did Harry have? She didn't want to put him through that, so that's why she "left".

Now, Harry on the other hand, he kept his distance because he knew that's what she wanted. He didn't really feel like getting chewed out one minute and being kissed the next because she couldn't make up her mind. He was starting to find that her pulling at his heart strings wasn't very fun for him.

Of course, he hadn't told her that. Because they hadn't talked in a week.

Now, Y/N sat in potions and slumped in her seat as she dozed off to Snape's boring lecture on the effects of a wideye potion. "We learned this eons ago, why is he still talking about it?" she grumbled to her friend Amya.

Amya was paying no attention to Snape either, she was reading the daily phrophet, that was hidden behind her book. "Eh, don't know, don't really care."

Y/N shrugged her shoulders and went back to daydreaming. She had been thinking about Harry, yet again.

She missed talking to him, hearing his joyous laugh, his annoyingly sweet comments, and his sarcastic gaze whenever he made a joke. Why had she done what she did?

Because you can't feel for him, a voice echoed in her head. It's dangerous. You're going to get hurt. Remember what happened last time?

Y/N let out a small frustrated sigh and put her head between her arms, clenching her teeth. That nagging voice had been there all week, convincing her that she couldn't and shouldn't love Harry because of what happened with James. And as the says went on, she started disagreeing with it.

It was silly to think that, she realized now, but she knew that she didn't truly feel that way. That nagging voice wasn't some spirit in her head, whispering things to her, it was her. She controlled everything it said, whether she wanted to hear it or not.

A small part of her, a small, very strong, part of her, thought she still shouldn't be able to love Harry. It's not what she deserved. Right?

That's what James told you, the voice said again, he told you that he was the only one you could love. He was right, wasn't he?

"Shut up." Y/N whispered to herself and buried her head deeper into her arms, as if trying to escape her reality by burrowing in her arms.

She didn't know what to think anymore. She loved Harry....in some way....right? She had to. That would prove James wrong, if she loved Harry.

"Miss Y/L/N, I expect you to be paying attention."

Y/N lifted her head up slowly, her thoughts seemingly weighing her head down, and sure enough, Professor Snape was standing over her, casting a malevolent shadow. Y/N's heart skipped a couple of beats as she readjusted herself to sit up straight. "Um," What was the question? "Yes?"

Professor Snape glared at her, his dark, beady black eyes peered into her skin like iron. "Yes, what?"

"Yes I....did?" She looked over at Amya, desperately looking for help, but Amya shook her head frantically.
