Harry x Reader One shots <3

*This has a modern feel to it :) You're a Hufflepuff and Cedric's sister just cause I wanted you to be :) You're also adopted so my POC babies don't feel awkward 🤍 Also, I'm changing the ages around a bit so in this case, Cedric is only 1 year older than Harry :)*

You nervously tug at your necklace as you look in the mirror, "Okay...you got this! Just be cool!" You put on a big smile, then sigh in defeat. What can you say? You were nervous. You've never been to a party before! You were worried you weren't going to fit in with your classmates, much less the older ones! 

You had asked Cedric to go to the party (which was only for the 6th and 7th year students) but he immediately said no, because you were too young. Yes, you were 16 (on the higher end of the age group), but you were still a 5th year, so you weren't allowed. You begged and begged for weeks, and he finally agreed to let you come with him. Since he was a prefect, he could bend the rules for you...which is one of the advantages of having him as an older brother. 

"Come on Y/N or we're going to be late!" Cedric shouts from outside your dorm room door. You take a second to fix your hair, and smooth out your outfit. You're wearing a mustard color turtle neck sweater under a pair of overalls with shorts, with your black and white converses (which are pretty dirty, but you're too lazy to clean them). *Imagine your hair style anyway you want babe<3*

You grab your wand off your nightstand and shove it in your pocket, just to stay safe, and run out of your dorm room. Cedric waits outside the entrance, his foot pressed gently against the wall. When you come out the Hufflepuff common room, he looks at you with an eyebrow raised, "You look nice Y/N...too nice...go change."

You cross you arms and glare at him, "Excuse me?"

He sighs and looks at you, removing his foot from the wall, "You heard what I said. These older guys...they can't control themselves...so I need you to cover up a bit more."

You lose it. "CEDRIC WHAT THE ACTUAL FU-"

He grabs you by the shoulders and laughs, "I'm sorry Y/N! I'm just kidding! You can't control the way they think of you. I'm so sorry!"

You roll you eyes at him and brush his hands off you shoulders, "Really Ced? That's not funny. I was about to go off on you." You start walking to the room or requirements, where the party was being held. 

He jogs after you, "But for real, I want you to keep your eye out if I'm not with you okay? I don't want anything bad to happen to you. Like I said, these older boys are wild. Promise me you'll be smart?" 

You turn around and start walking backwards, smiling back at him, "I promise Ced! Don't worry, people probably won't talk to me anyway." 

He scoffs and starts trying to step on your shoe, "People will talk to you, Y/N! Lots of people know you."

You roll your eyes and continue dodging his pursuit of your shoes, "Yeah, they only know me as 'Cedric's little sister'."

"Look..I know-"

You don't see where you're going and you run into someone at the corridor intersection. As you fall on the other person, you turn the other way, to where you're facing them. You feel strong hands wrap around your waist as you both land on the floor. You groan and look down at the person you just fell on, getting ready to apologize until they got annoyed of you. 

You look down to see a dark haired boy, with round glasses, tan skin, bright green eyes, and a scar on his forehead. You recognize him as Harry Potter. You furiously blush hotly as he grins at you, "Hey."

"Umm..hey." You laugh nervously and push yourself up. But your godforsaken arms buckle and you fall back on top of him, your faces inches away from each other. '
