Chapter 26: Join Us

The next day when you woke up, Dabi was laying right next to you. Shirt off, boxers on, his chest pressed up against your back with his arms around your waist. You softly smiled at the sight of seeing how peaceful he was when he slept. You could slowly feel yourself catching feelings for him. You knew that it wouldnt work out for you too, but thats what drawed you in even more. You liked to have things that werent in your reach, the challenge of obtaining something even though you know the outcome. The little chance that it could end up being good, or changing that outcome, that made you want to keep going for it... so you did. You didnt plan on really telling Dabi how you felt, more so just wanted to show him.

About 10 minutes passed, Dabi had finally started shuffling around the bed about to wake up. You were in the bathroom getting ready for the day. You had no where to really go but getting ready was a comfort thing for you. He sat up against the headboard and watched you. Dabi had felt the same way as you did. He knew he couldnt have this, knew in order to keep you away he would have to hurt you emotionally to get that distance. But he didnt want you away, he wanted you close to him as possible. He didnt want to make you "happy" because he doesnt really know how to do that... but he knew he wanted you.

"Good Morning." You spit out the toothpaste that was in your mouth and rinsed your mouth out. Trailing back to the bed and sat next to him.

"Morning." The silence in the room was so loud, but you both have became comfortable with just each others presences. No need to really have conversations.

"You hungry? I was gonna order something for breakfast if you wanted anything?" When you turned to look at him, his eyes were fully drawn to his phone. He wasnt tuning you out though, he heard everything you said clearly. He dropped his phone back down in his lap.

"Nah, not really. I dont eat breakfast." Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"You dont... eat breakfast? I knew you were weird, but this just solidified that for me." Next thing you knew a pillow was thrown at your face and his eyes were back down on his phone. What could he be so focused on already? "One of your bitches must be texting you right now or something." Another pillow was thrown at your face again, you were laughing uncontrollably.

"Shut the fuck up, Y/N. I dont have any 'other bitches.' Youre the only bitch I talk too." He sighed. "Decay needs me to run some errands for him and I have to go to the hideout tonight to go practice with the OLV." He finally got up and grabbed his clothes from the floor. Your mood changed in seconds once you heard him mention practice. You werent allowed to go the yardhouse to practice or even compete in the race this weekend. Dabi noticed how your energy in the room just shifted. "God, whats wrong with you now?"

You sniffled, holding back your tears as you remembered all the events that went down before the two of you fucked last night. You didnt want to talk about because you didnt want Dabi pitying you. He was pushy to get an answer before he left. He didnt fuck you last night for no reason, it was supposed to keep you distracted until he came back over tonight. (Uninvited) He then had got an idea, not the best one but maybe it could help you out a bit.

"Come with me tonight. To the hideout, you cant go to your shitty ass gang spot so just come to ours and practice." He looked down at you and started smirking. "Or better yet, since you have no gang anymore... join us instead." Your head shot up instantly hearing those words. Join them? I... I cant do that... Can I?

"Join you guys? Like leave my gang entirely and just join yours? You say a lot of stupid shit, but this is the dumbest one yet. I cant just join you guys."

"But you can. Look at it like this, your 'best friend' kicks you out the gang for 'breaking rules' that dont even exist. None of your other 'gang members' or 'friends' whatever the fuck you want to call them, havent once checked up on you. They put you on suspension for an entire month, when in reality they're probably not gonna let you back in at all. Plus if you join us, that would piss them off so much, just imagine the look on their faces." He wasnt wrong. Everything Dabi said was exactly true. Keigo once told an ex-member that they were suspended for a week, but they ended up never coming back at all... Maybe this could potentially be a better decision for you, but you didnt want to kill people. Especially if theyre innoncent.

"Your gang isnt just about racing though, you guys go around hurting people left and right. I dont want to do tha-." He cut you off and grabbed your face, locking eyes with you.

"You wont have to worry about that part. I'll handle all the extra work Decay would have laid out for you." He started to softly caress your cheek. "All you gotta do is ride me and that bike of yours. No strings attached. You dont need to have an answer today, just soon enough before Friday." You turned to your calendar and saw that today was only Tuesday. You grabbed his hand and sighed to yourself. Nodding to what he had said, you agreed to have an answer to him by Friday. He turned around and headed to the door, leaving out to go to the OLV hideout. You laid in bed all day questioning what you should and shouldnt do. Even though Keigo was mad at you, you still cared so much about him. How would he even react if he saw me in OLV gear on Friday? How would the rest of your friends react? You started to feel yourself get anxious, but then you remembered what Dabi had told you. None of your "friends" had checked up on you or the situation with Keigo. Usually you wouldve atleast heard from Shouta by now but... not even him. Maybe joining them wouldnt be that bad...
