Broken: A Matthew Espinosa Fanfiction

Chapter One

* Matts POV*

"Hey Espinosa," a voice behind me taunts. This happens to me every day.
"What do you want Carter? Can't you just leave me alone?" Carter chuckled. "You'll never learn will you Matthew? Nobody cares about you. Get that through your thick skull!" Tears threatened to leave my eyes as a fist connects with my jaw. I fell to the ground. The two goons that where with Carter started kicking me in the ribs. I couldn't help it. I started to cry. "Haha" Carter laughed at me. "you're such a baby no wonder nobody likes you." I struggle to stand up but the pain is unbearable. Why me?

*flashback*

I walked into my house to see my brother sitting on the couch with a letter in his hands. "Hey Dylan what's wrong?" I asked hoping that it was nothing bad.
"They're gone Matt. Mom and Dad finally went overboard. They walked out on us."

*end of flashback*

The bell rings and Carter turns around. " I'm not done with you Espinosa. I'm going to make your life a living hell." He smirks at me and heads to his class with his two idiotic friends following him. I have to get out of here. I run out of the school and back to my house. It's not that far away, just five minutes away from the school. When I got to my house, there was a not on the counter. It was from Dylan. It read:
Hey Matt I'm sorry I had to go but I found a lead on where mom and dad might be. I will be gone for the whole summer. Don't try to contact me it could be dangerous. See you soon,

Great. I'm home alone with no one to talk to after the worst day of my life. What next?
