Rose groaned when she looked at the time. It was 8:00 and classes started today at 9:00. She got up and made sure Alice and Marlene were up she didn't have to get Lily up seeing as she always got up at 6:00.

The girls got ready and all went to the Great Hall for breakfast. They took a seat by to Lily and started putting food on their plates. Lily said Professor McGonagall gave out timetables already and passed them out to her friends.

Rose said she had Potions first and asked if anyone else did. All the girls did and they were about to go to potions when Lily's friend Severus came up and asked to talk to Lily.

Lily left with Severus to talk and the girls continued on their way to the dungeons for potions. They came in and sat down waiting for the rest of the class. Lily came in with a few other Gryfindoor girls looking infuriated.

Alice asked what was wrong and Lily started ranting saying how Severus was talking to Rosier, Avery, and Malfoy and he was getting heavily involved and had a obsession for the Dark Arts.

Before Lily could continue Professor Slughorn arrived.

Professer Slughorn went over how important their O.W.L.S are and what topics they were going to cover this year. A couple he mentioned was Amortentia, which let's the person who smells it smell what they love the most and when under the potion have a obsession with the person who gave them the potion.

Slughorn also mentioned Felix Felicis, which is a luck potion. Whoever drinks it has luck for as long as how big the batch is. It is a quite tricky potion and takes on average about six months.

He spent most of class time talking about it and assigned them to turn in a foot essay each for Amortentia and Felix Felicia.

The students filed out quickly to get to their next class or to get away from the freezing dungeons where potions was always held. The girls all were walking to Transfiguration seeing as that was their next class and Rose's favorite because it was taught by her favorite Professor Minerva McGonagall or Minnie to Rose and the Marauders.

The girls quickly filed seeing as they were almost late. Professor McGonagall started the lesson right at 11 o'clock sharp. The Marauders filed in to class fifteen minutes after it started which resulted in a detention. Peter looked scared, Remus looked shhepish and shot a sorry look to McGonagall for being late while James and Sirius didn't care seeing as they always got detention.

Professor McGonagall started teaching them about Animagi. Soon the class ended and the girls and the Marauders left the class to go to their last class of the day which was Defense Against the Dark Arts (DADA), taught by Professor John Adams.

He started the class and started talking. "Hello Everyone my name is Professor Adams and for today's lesson we will be talking about Patronus's". He asked if anyone knew what they were. Lily and Remus' hands were in the air as per usual, but what shocked the class was that Sirius also had his hand raised.

Professor Adams called on Sirius and he said "A Patronus is a shield against dementors and the incantation is Expecto Patronum which translates to I await a guardian in latin. Also an animal will appear which represents the person who cast it".Professor Adams said he was right and awarded Gryffindor house 10 points and spent the rest of class talking about Patronus's.

At the end of class he said that next class they would try to conjure a patronus. That sparked everyone's excitement seeing as they were all wondering what was their patronus would take form.

The girls left to they common room to do their homework which took them for two hours. They then went to dinner where James asked Lily if he would go with him on a date to Hogsmade when the trip came and as usual Lily's response was she would rather date the Giant Squid than go on a date with a arrogant toe-rag.

The girls finished dinner and went to bed as they were exhausted.
