"Uhhh..." Wade tasted blood. His eyes flickered open, and he slowly sat up.

"Hello?"

As he called into the darkness, his dry lips cracked, more of the metallic taste entering his mouth. A thousand questions entered his mind, of which he had no answers. Where was he? Why was he here? Who brought him here? A fragment of memory surfaced in his blurry mind.

It was after the big New Years Eve party that his friend Matt, from college, threw. Wade was stumbling down the street, quite intoxicated from the jagerbombs he had been pouring down his throat until throwing up. He glanced up at the black night sky and the flickering moons. Or, lack there of, as Wade realized the many moons were in fact just streetlights. It must have been late, as they were extremely bright, and Wade had to look away because they were adding to his already crippling headache.  As he arrived at his flats door, his key scraped around the keyhole before finally fitting it in, twisting it and throwing open the door. He clumsily took his shoes off and continued into the living / kitchen area, falling onto the sofa.

And now, Wade was in a dark room, and all he could make out were the shadows made from the sliver of light coming from under what looked like a door. He carefully stood up and made his way towards the light. He slid his left hand up until he felt something cold under his fingers. He shook the handle, but to no avail. The door was locked. He tried throwing himself against the door. Once. Twice. Three times. But the door didn’t budge. Wade again placed his hands on the wall, and felt around for a light switch. With a *click* the lights in the room came on. He scanned around, looking for anything he could use to unlock the door. In the centre of the room there was an antique oak table with a radio standing on it and to either side stood two plush floral sofas. In the far corner of the room, there was another door.

He walked over to the curtain at the back of the room and opened them, to see a large metal plate that appeared to be covering a window. He put his ear to the cold steel and listened to see if he could hear anything. There was a single noise, which sounded like a continuous metal against metal sound. He tried to remember anything else to help him know how he got there...

"Today I don't feel like doin' anything. I just wanna lay in my b-"

"Hello?" Wade slid the bar of his iphone, stopping the music.

"Hey dude!" Matt chimed from the other end of the phone.

"Bro... It's like..." He glanced over at his alarm clock. "6 in the morning. What do you want? We saw each other a few hours ago..."

"Yeah well I need you to pick something up for me from the train station... I left it there and I need it back by this afternoon."

"Why can't you get it?" Wade groaned.

"Come on dude! You live 5 minutes away from the station! Please?"

"Don't you have to pay money to get things from lost and found?"

"Yeah. And you owe me ten quid. So think of this as a favour."

"What did you forget?"

"My sports clothes. They're in my black Nike bag. You know the one?"

"Yeah... Fine..." Wade sighed, rolling back over. "I'll go at 10."

"Thanks bro!" Matt hung up the phone, leaving Wade again in darkness. His eyes soon grew heavy and he drifted off to sleep.
