2 months of straight sailing and they were all excited to hear they were going to the first stopping point.
Stopping wasn't just about getting food and supplies, it was also to keep them sane. Staying on the water for to long could drive a man crazy, you could start hallucinating, get sick, cause mood swings. And they just didn't want to deal with that.
"I know I say this all the time, but I can't wait till we reach land" Seungmin groaned as he lied down on the wooden floor of the deck, putting his hat over his eyes.
"You and me both" Hyunjin flopped down next to him, Seungmin pushing him slightly away and then the longed haired boy kicking him lightly
"At least we've had good weather so far" Jeongin shrugs, pulling up a barrel to sit on
"Don't say that! You might jinx it" Hyunjin whines
"Yah be quiet I want to nap" Seungmin hits his shoulder
"All you ever do is nap, why don't you actually work for a change" The long haired man scoffs
"Yah! Who pulled you out of that quicksand when we went to Diane!" Seungmin glared at the older
"If I recall it was you AND Chan but he did all the work you can barely lift a bottle of rum"
"Why you little-"
Jisung just laughs from the side at his friends. Hyunjin and Seungmin have this funny rivalry thats been going on for forever, no one has any idea how it started, not even them.
"Han-ah give me a hand would you!" He hears Changbin call from behind
"Comin!"
The captain chuckles as he watches his crew from the wheel.
"Chan how far off are we?"
"About 9° sir" The oldest of the crewmates checks his compass
The captain turns his wheel until they are back in a straight course to their destination.
"If we keep going at this pace we actually might reach our destination early" Chan ads
The captain hums in acknowledgement.
"Sir! Can we throw Hyunjin overboard! I swear he isn't nessasary to the crew!" Seungmin suddenly runs up panting and trying to push Hyunjin away
"Sir I suggest the opposite and that we throw Seungmin off! He's a pain in the ass!" Hyunjin glares at the younger
"You!-"
"No one is throwing anyone off, but I do suggest you both get back to work before I loose my temper" The man threatens with a raised eyebrow
Seungmin and Hyunjin both gulp before bowing and letting out a "yessir!"
The captain chuckles as he watches the boys scurry away and down the deck, nearly falling over in the process.
Jisung walks up to the wheel and laughs with his father.
"Let that be a lesson to you Jisung, sometimes threatening your crew isn't a bad thing" The man smiles at his son
"Aye sir"
The day was full of laughter.
