In the dead of night the boat rocked on the water gently. The crew slept peacefully all except for one.
Seonghwa was not tired in the slightest, to angry at his husband to even get a pinch of sleep. The only thing Hongjoong seemed to care about was his money and treasure, yeah, they were pirates but they were also married, the older though that he might want to finally try and settle down. Guess he was wrong.
What the hell were they even looking for? Just cause some guy may have been on the beach doesn't mean he's a siren and just because that dumb bitch of a fish says something was up doesn't mean something was actually there.
Sunmi pissed him off, she had absolutely no interest in anything and yet his husband spent day and night with her at this point.
He knew he was being petty but he couldn't help it...
He wanted to leave and go home, a home he was supposed to live in together with Hongjoong.
He knew they were getting nowhere, because the captain refused to let Sunmi out of her tank. Maybe if he did they would find whatever- whoever they were looking for quicker. It made sense she would leave if they let her go, but to be honest what would she do anyway?
A lightbulb turned on in the black haired males head.
He looked at the door that lead out of his room, it was risky to do what he was thinking but...
Maybe it would work?
He gets up and makes his way to the door, grabbing his coat on the way out. Making his way to the captains quarters quickly and quietly.
He opens the door and sees his husband sleeping, the blanket half hanging off the bed. He rolls his eyes and moves past his bed to the back of the room where Sunmi's tank was.
"Seonghwa?" The siren whispers as she comes out of the water
"What are you doing here?" Sunmi raises and eyebrow
"Getting you out of here..." Seonghwa mumbles going to one of the sides of the tank and placing his hands on it
"What?" Her eyes go wide
"Look let me push you out of the rook and we can talk on deck okay?" He says, mentally relived the glass tank had wheels
"Thats-"
"Just shut up" He pushes the tank a bit and she gasps, glaring at him
Even with the wheels the tank was still heavy, thank god Hongjoong was a heavy sleeper.
He pushes her all the way out to the deck, no one was on it because they weren't sailing so everyone could sleep. They get all the way over to the edge of the boat and Sunmi looks down at the water below them with bright eyes.
"Look." Her attention goes back to the pirate
"If I let you go... Promise me you'll find whoever you saw and then come straight back." The human puts two fingers on the bridge of his nose and sighs
"Why are you doing this?" She counters
"I want a peaceful life with my husband, ever since his dad caught you all those years ago the family has been nothing but greedy."
"They're pirates"
"Yes but- nevermind. Just please...we all want to go home" He sighs again
"Fine. I promise."
"Im going to trust you..." He says warily
Sunmi chuckles as she pushes herself on the railing of the boat, her tail floping to the side.
"Thats a bad idea lover boy..." Was the last thing she says before falling into the cold ocean down below
"Shit!" Seonghwa yelled running to look over the edge
Did he just fuck everything up?
