It's finally the beginning of tour. Alex and I are both well enough to play which is good. I haven't been completely approved but I feel well enough. We're in Nevada and our first show isn't until tomorrow night but we came down a day early.

I'm currently sitting at the chair in the tattoo shop. "Alright kid, are you sure about this? Remember, this is a permanent modification to your body and getting a tattoo removed is a lot more painful." I nod. I watch him as he puts the stencil on my arm. He begins and I bite my lip to not curse out loud. I hear Alex snicker.

I flip him off and watch as the tattoo is created. Hours later, the tattoo is finished. "I can't believe you actually sat and got that all done in one go. Especially as a teenager who is completely sober and as a first tattoo." "I'm very determined. Plus, I wanted to cover up my scar." He nods.

He wraps it in cling wrap and Alex pays for it. We go back to the hotel and I see Dad, Vic, Mike, Jaime, Jack, and Kellin. I hear Alex mumble immediately. "Shit." "Okay, Alex, I'm sure you were involved in my daughter getting a tattoo and by the look of curiosity in Vic's eyes, I'm assuming he was involved as well."

"Dad, it was completely my idea. I wanted to cover up the scar so I did so with something that is very important to me." I hand him the paper and he looks at it. I see an impressed look in all of their eyes. "You got that all at one time?" I nod.

Vic looks slightly guilty. "I told her she probably isn't going to get it all at once. She took it as a challenge." Dad shakes his head and rolls his eyes. "Rachel, it's a bad idea to take all challenges." I stick out my tongue.

"Alex, did you at least take her somewhere most likely reputable?" He nods. Kellin takes the paper from Dad. "Wow, this is amazing. Why did you want to get it though?" I forgot that only Alex, Dad, and Vic know what happened. I bite my lip and remove the bracelets from my other wrist.

I watch as shock fills their faces. "My left wrist was a lot worse. I had slit them both horizontally and then I heard the door open downstairs. I knew it wouldn't be successful just like that so I ended up going from about here to here." I lightly point out the locations.

More shock litters their faces. I watch as Mike lifts my hand and lightly traces my wrist. He shares a sad look with Vic and then releases my wrist again. I put the bracelets back on. "Dad, can I go back up to the room?" He nods and hands me the key card.

A Few Years Later

My band has blown up since we went on tour with All Time Low. Our popularity has grown to the point that we are about as popular as My Chemical Romance was. We went on tour with My Chemical Romance as well which was incredible since they were the first band to draw me into this type of music.

I'm not even twenty yet and I have a higher net worth than my dad. But not all stories end well. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer of the brain and lungs. I've been on life-support and today they are going to take me off. Dad hands me my phone and I go on Instagram.

"As some of you may have heard from rumors circulating on social media, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer of multiple vital organs. I don't have much longer left. I want you all to follow your dreams.

Some days, it may be hard. I had many struggles with self-harm, suicidal thoughts, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and anorexia but thanks to my family, I made it through. I love you all but I wish you don't mourn my eventual death, celebrate my life and my music.

I don't know if Dire Chaos plans to continue making music with a new singer and another guitarist but my old music will be with you guys as long as you choose to follow it. Please don't bother my family and friends about my death and let them have their time to mourn as I'm sure they will.

I'll miss you all and please stay strong.
Signing out,
Rachel Perry."

I post it and hand the phone back to Dad. "I love you all so much. Please don't mourn me too much. Continue your music." I get light hugs from all of them. I nod to the nurse and I watch her unplug the machines that give me life before my world fades to black.
