Selena's POV

I woke up to my phone beeping, letting me know that someone had texted me. I turned around and saw that Anton was still asleep. I sat up and grabbed my phone going downstairs. I saw the message was from Justin.

Hey Sel, look i really want us to talk again. When I told you I missed you at the Golden Globes last week I meant it. I miss you so much. I want us to at least be friends. If I can't have you as my baby then I want you to be my best friend again. Please? Let's go out for breakfast?

I miss you too. I guess we could. IHOP sound good?😋

Yes, of course😂 I'll be there in 10.

I read the message and shut my phone off, I got up and went upstairs to get ready. Anton was still sleeping, he must've been really tired.
I put on short shorts and a white croptop with some white sandals and put my hair up, grabbing my sunglasses. I left a note on my pillow letting Anton know that I was going out for breakfast with a friend and that I should be back soon. I grabbed my phone and went downstairs seeing Jays car in the drive way. He was leaning on his car waiting for me. he was wearing white long shorts with a white tshirt and a black hat. We kinda matched, it was weird.

"Hey" he smiled.

"Hi" I smiled back, giving him a hug, catching him off guard, but he hugged back.

"IHOP?" He chuckled.

"IHOP" I laughed. We got into his car and of course paps noticed us right away. I didn't really care because they should know we're both with someone else so we're no more than friends. Once we arrived to IHOP we went inside getting a booth way in the back so know one would bother us. We got the usual which I thought was funny because it kind of felt like old times back when we were a young couple.

"What are you thinking about?"

I snapped my head up, making eye contact with Jay. He scared me lol.

"Huh?"

He laughed.

"I asked what you were thinking of"

"Oh, us"

"What about us?"

"When we were a young couple and use to come here every weekend. Then that night you would sneak in through my window just to sleep over so my mom wouldn't know" we broke out in laughter remembering then, "remember when you tripped over one of my heels and my mom walked in and busted us?" Now I couldn't breathe.

"Oh my god, yes! I was so afraid of your mom"

We finally caught our breath as our food got brought to us. It was so yummy. I got the shortstack with a side of hashbrown and he got the smokehouse combo.
After eating Justin paid after we fought about who was paying. Of course he won. It was only 10:15am so he decided to take me to the park, again another spot where we went when we were young.

"Remember this place?" He asked smirking.

Of course, how could I forget? This is were we almost had sex, being the horny teenagers we were. It was like 2 in the morning and we both snuck out to come here. We didn't have sex but we did have a makeout session. Going back into reality, I hit him playfully in the arm. He just laughed. We spent a while just swinging on the swing, bringing up memories of stuff we did when we were together. Honestly it made me miss us together. But I'm with Anton and I'm happy with him.

"Ready to go?" He asked, stopping the swing. I stopped as well and nodded my head. We headed back to his car and he drove me back to my place. I could see in the window that Anton was watching tv and eating. I smiled to myself.

"Better get back to your man" he slightly smiled. I could tell he was hurt in his eyes. That's how I was for a while when him and Hailey first started dating, but I let it go.

"Better get back to your girl" I smiled back. I reached over and gave him a hug, him hugging back.

"So we're friends?"

"We're making Progress" I smiled and then I kissed his cheek and got out of the car walking up to my door opening it, waving bye at him.
