Today Fred was preparing to tell Bella about the wizarding world. Three days away from September first that way he could bring her to platform 9 ¾ after bringing her to the burrow the day before.

He was nervous. If she didn't believe him he would show her. But he was more concerned about what she would think about him. Would she think he was a freak? Would she never want to see him again?

George has reassured him multiple times that it would be fine. He decided to wear his old Gryffindor jersey with a pair of splatter painted jeans she gave him. He loved her creative nature. Bella had given him a house key seeing as whenever he was free he would want to hang out and she was the same.

He decided to meet up with her after her shift. They would probably stop and talk on their park bench. Before making their way to her flat.

He entered the front desk of the hospital.

"Good afternoon. Where can I find Bella?" he asked the secretary.

"Yeah she's currently in with Lucy in the private toy room." She replied regularly. Fred was a frequent visitor.

He made his way to the room. When he entered he saw a young girl holding a stuffed dog and Bella in her light purple scrubs. She had a stethoscope around her neck and was knelt down in front of the girl holding her hands.

"Mommy and Daddy had to leave." she told the girl softly. Fred now understood what was going on and stood silently behind her. "We tried to save them. But they lost too much blood." The girl then broke into tears and flung her arms around Bella's shoulders.

Bella held her tightly and lifted her up so she could carry her on her hip. The girl was crying into her shoulder. Bella started humming a song while rocking her. She turned around with the girl and noticed Fred standing there.

He gave her a sad smile.

After the girl had calmed down Bella decided to get help from the number one mood lifter.

"Hey sweetie. Do you want to meet my friend?" The little girl nodded seeing the tall ginger behind the nurse.

Bella gently set her down and held her hand. She motioned for Fred to come over. He slowly walked up and crouched down to the girls level.

"Hello pumpkin. What's your name?"

"Lucy." she whispered shyly.

"Well Lucy, If you want we could ask for special permission to take you to get ice cream and go to a park where your family member will pick you up. Would you like that?" She nodded.

"Okay Lucy go grab your bag from the waiting room." Bella told the girl. She quickly left the room. Fred stood up from his crouch position and recognized the exhausted look on Bella's face.

He gently pulled her into a hug. She sighed and rested her forehead on his chest. Her arms wrapped around his torso.

"We lost three people today." she said.

"It happens. But you always try your best."

The door opened and the little girl came in. She saw the two hugging.

"Is he your boyfriend?"

Bella laughed and shook her head as they both released the hug. Fred kept his arm around her shoulder.

"No pumpkin. We're waiting for our soulmates." Fred said.

The girl giggled "Good. My dad always said girls aren't allowed boyfriends until they're a grandma."

"Okay. Fred can you watch her while I clock out and call a relative?" Bella was now headed to the door. He nodded.

She left while he sat down on the little carpet in the room. Lucy sat down across from him and looked up at him.
