Phoenix tapped his coloured nails against the desk, He was in Edgeworth's office. They liked to go into his office and annoy him.
Edgeworth snapped up his head. "Phoenix." He grumbled, "Don't you have something better to do?" The spiky-haired boy thought about it for a moment. "Nope! Don't think so." He decided. Edgeworth groaned.
After a few minutes passed, Edgeworth working on god knows what and Phoenix trying to kick his feet under the desk, the freckled boy spoke up. "Can I paint your nails?" Edgeworth stopped writing, "W-what?" Phoenix laughed, "You heard me. Can I paint your nails?" Edgeworth sighed, "No, I'm busy right now." Phoenix pouted, giving him puppy dog eyes, "Pretty please Miles~"
Edgeworth grumbled, face slightly red, "Fine.."
Phoenix shot up, smiling widely, "Thanks Miles!"
Edgeworth sighed, "I'm going to regret this, aren't I?" Phoenix pulled something out of the backpack he had with them. "Maybe." He said, "Maybe not. You can tell me when I finished, yeah?" Edgeworth laughed, "That I will."
Phoenix sets a purple coloured nail polish on the desk. "I'm gonna do purple. It's pretty and matches your eyes." This made both boys blush. "Can, uh, I have your hand?" Phoenix asked, somewhat nervously. The other man blinked, "Oh, of course." He held out his hand. Phoenix uncapped the nail polish and gently grabbed Edgeworth's hand.
He slowly painted the latter's nails. Being careful to not mess up and get it on his skin. "You're good at this." Edgeworth blurted out. "Shhh!" Phoenix shushed him. "You gotta let the master work!" He giggles. Edgeworth chuckled.
Soon, Phoenix finished his hand. "Other." He said. Edgeworth gives Phoenix his other hand, moving the painted one out of the way, making sure it didn't touch anything. The two sat in silence as Phoenix finished the other hand. "Done!" Phoenix said triumphantly. He caps the polish and puts it back in his bag. "This nail polish dries pretty quickly, but don't touch anything with this hand," He points to the hand he had just painted, "for about 5 minutes." Edgeworth nods. They sit for a few awkward seconds.
"Soo.." Phoenix begins, "Do you regret it?" Edgeworth looks at his now purple nails, "No, I don't think I do. Thank you Wright." Phoenix smiles, "You're welcome Miles!"
