Kenny was silent before holding onto Stan, he couldn't control himself as the waves of grief and guilt swept over him, tears falling from his eyes nonstop.

The others ran in only moments later, but as they saw Stan holding onto Kenny they already knew what happened. Kyle looked around until he saw the door that led to the basement below the gym.

He called out to Kenny, "I found the door, we can go down there, He still has to be alive, there's a good chance he fell on some of the debris."

Kenny looked up at him, a small flicker of hope arising, he got up and nodded.

Kyle felt bad for giving Kenny hope knowing he could break it but he had to make sure his friend made it out of here. They all went to the door, Wonder Tweek and Super Craig stayed back to make sure the others had a clear way out. The rest ventured into the basement which was still on fire in certain areas. Kenny began looking around frantically, Stan stuck with him as did Kyle.

They walked around for a while, stepping over debris and avoiding fire. Kenny then finally spotted something, the helmet Butters wore for Professor Chaos. He ran over to it then froze. That's when he saw him, Butters was laying on the ground, it was clear he hit his head. Stan and Kyle walked over in time to grab Kenny before he fell to his knees. Tears were falling down Kenny's cheeks as he realized Butters was gone. He walked over, his legs shaking and knelt beside him. He began to cry as he looked at Butters. Stan and Kyle noticed the building beginning to fall and tried to usher him out. He pushed them away.

"You two go, now." Kenny said and quietly took out a revolver, where he got from who knows where.

Stan and Kyle looked shocked and went to stop them before the Coon and Mosquito dragged them away. Tupperware went to grab Kenny but was stopped when a flaming beam fell between them. He knew he couldn't grab him. They all turned and began to run out.

Kenny looked at the gun in his hand and sighed, he knew he would come back, but he also hoped to see Butters. He took one more look at Butters before doing what he felt like he had to.

The others had gotten to the school entrance when they heard a faint gunshot. Kyle froze and remembered Kenny was back there. The rest kinda stopped before dragging Kyle along with them. When they got outside they could see the fire department already trying to get control of the fire. They were questioned about what happened, Stan and Craig did most of the explaining while Tweek was trying to help Kyle not freak out, which was difficult because he was as well.

A few hours later the fire was under control and being completely put out, that was when they found the two boys bodies. The firefighters who found them went out and told the police, they asked the few boys who had stayed behind if they knew them. Kyle confirmed that they did and told them who they were.

As they went on with what they had to carry out for this Kenny found himself in a white plain, it was just, empty.

He looked around and sighed, he knew this place all too well, Limbo. Well that's what he called it, he sat on the ground awaiting who he knew would show up.

It didn't take long before the familiar looming figure approached him.

"Hey Death, it's been a while since we've spoken," Kenny said, getting up.

"Kennth, do you understand why you're here?" Death asked him, his voice echoing through the air.

"Probably because I shot myself, I can't think of any reason other than that" Kenny said with a shrug.

"You're half right, you must've noticed you have been repeating the same day" Death said.

Kenny nodded, "How could I not notice, it's kind of a living hell."

"I can see that, but do you have any idea on why it's happening?" Death asked.

"I have a few theories but that's about it, I feel like it's tied to Butters but it could be deeper than that" Kenny said.

Death nodded, "You'd be correct, on both parts as well. Satan and I have been working with God to try to figure out how to stop something bad from happening."

Kenny raised a brow, "What bad thing?"

"The beginning of the end" Death said, "Kenny, Cthulhu is coming back and bringing his darkness with him, and only an immortal can kill an immortal. God and Satan don't want to fight him fearing that if he took them down he would easily destroy everything."

"How does this involve me, or Butters?" Kenny asked.

"It involves your friend because he's the one who summons Cthulhu, and for you. Either you can stop him from doing so, or kill Cthulhu" Death said.

"I'm trying to stop him but his problems have been there for years, he wants to get back at the world that hurt him. I can't fix the past" Kenny said, sighing in defeat.

"You're right Kenneth, you can't fix the past, but you can help them make their present better. Time and care heals all wounds" Death said.

Kenny was quiet before nodding, "Okay, I'll try as hard as I can"

"Good, now for you to go back," Death said.

With that Death leaned forward and placed his hand on Kenny's head. Kenny felt a little dizzy before blacking out.
