Bad Boy

Chapter 1

Maya's POV

I walk into school with my best friend Riley Matthews next to me. We walk to our lockers and talk. Out of the corner of my eye I can see a group of people and someone yelling help.

"Riley" I said

"Yea" she said

"Do u hear that? It sounds like someone calling for help" I said lookin over towards the group of people

"Yea is it those people?" Riley said pointing to the group I was looking at

Then I realize "that group" is the popular group. That's the group that Lucas left us for two years ago. I heard he's on drugs and is and drinks alcohol. Riley, Farkle, and I haven't talked to him in two years, except for a few run ins here and there. He such a jerk, I don't get why every girl loves him.

"Riley lets go help that kid" I said and riley nodded

We walked over to the group and I see Lucas pin a nerdy looking kid to a locker.

"Stop!" I yelled

Lucas turned around facing me and smirked.

"Oh look it's little Maya Hart the school hottie" Lucas said

"Just leave the kid alone Lucas" I said

"Yea!" Riley cheered

"Or what, what ru gonna do to me if I don't" Lucas said

I stepped closer to him causing him to put the kid down. His posey stepped back watching how close I was getting to Lucas.

"Or else I'll make u wish u never came here form Texas back when u were a little cowboy" I said staring hard into his eyes

"Oh really?" Lucas smirked

"Yea really" I said

"Yea right whatever, lets go guys" Lucas said walking away from us, his posey followed

"Wow Maya that was amazing!" Riley said

"It's was nothing" I said

We walked over to the kid on the floor.

"Hey u ok?" I asked him offering my hand to help him get up

"Yes! Thank you so much! Ur so pretty!" The nerd said

"Ha thanks, maybe u should get to class" I said

"Oh yes of course. Thank you pretty girl that talked to me!" The nerd said and ran off

Riley and I stood there. We looked at each other and started laughing like crazy. We laughed until we got so tired we just decided to skip our first class and stay in the hallway talking about what just happened.

The bell rang and we stood up and walked to our lockers. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around. It was that nerd and his nerd crew. Riley looked at me and we looked back at the nerds standing in front of us.

"Um can we help u?" Riley asked nicely

"See everyone this is the pretty girl that saved me from the populars!" The nerd cheered

Before I knew it everyone in the hallway was clapping. Some people were whistling, and shouting and Riley and I just laughed.

"Um thanks everyone, but I didn't do that much" I said

Some came through the crowd of people, he was cute, I've never seen him before.

"Hey u must be Maya, my names Mark" mark said smiling

"Uh hey yea I'm Maya" I said

"What u did was cool, maybe u wanna hang out some time?" Mark asked

"Yea sure sounds fun, here's my number" I said as I have him my number

"Thanks, I'll call u later" Mark said and walked away

"Ooooooh somebody has a boyfriend!" Riley yelled happily

"Riley shhh! He's not my boyfriend, we just met." I said

"Doesn't matter u love him!" Riley said

"Oh whatever lets go we r gonna be late for class" I said

Riley and I walked to our second class of the day.
