After cheerleading practice, I went got into my black Mercedes Benz and drove home.
I can't believe Carmelo made fun of my name, then he punched my boyfriend in the face. Yet he was sooooo cute. He was tall, has brown skin, pink brown full plump lips, brown curly hair, with light brown eyes. Straight snow white teeth with pink gums and fangs, with silver and turquoise colored braces. I don't know if his eyes change colors, but I hope they do. Plus he has swag i mean his style is real chill. Like sweat pants, t-shirt, shoes, jacket and go.
Plus my real name is Justice, Latoya is my middle name. Justice Latoya Pride.

I walked into the house smelling daddy's BBQ ribs, corn bread, and greens. I went into the kitchen and kissed daddy's cheek. I'm a daddy's little girl, that's a good thing and a bad thing. Meaning he's overprotective about me, I can't do certain things. Mom she thinks i'm mature now, so she lets me do things, daddy probably wouldn't.
I saw my little brother Rayan sitting at the table doing homework. Rayan is 13, we're really close, but sometimes I mean to him, mainly when I had a bad day. But he tells me everything and I tell him everything. My family is fine, to be honest.
" Hey Justice. " Rayan said in his teenage raspy voice. Rayan is finally hitting puberty, that high pitch voice he had when he was eleven wasn't doing it for me. At all.
I went upstairs, and took a shower, then put on some basketball shorts, a tank top, and ankle high socks, with my hair in a pineapple.
I helped my mom set the table, as Rayan moved his stuff out the way, then we sat as a family and ate. " So how was your day? " Mom asked me.
" Fine, except for this boy named Carmelo Major made fun of my name. " I said.
" Well, I think him and I will be having a talk. " Daddy said.
" Yea! We're gonna set him straight. " Rayan interjected. I just laughed.
" But he's really cute. " I said.
" Well maybe he's your soul mate. " Mom shrugged. Daddy, Rayan, and I gave her a disgusted or the ' what the fuck? ' look.
" Its true, it how my best friend and her husband met. He was so rude to her, then they had to work together in a project and they got to know each other a lot. Then a month later they're in the hallway making out. " Mom said. I just shook my head.
" No, he's not my soul mate. "

Daddy decided to drive me to school, because he's really about to talk to Carmelo. And since i'm seen as the spoiled little rich girl, who always gets her way Carmelo will be in trouble.
Daddy and I walked into the office, and Ms.Nancy perked up. " Well hello mr. Pride how may I help you? "
" I need to talk to Carmelo Major. " Dad demanded.
" For? " She blinked.
" He's teasing my daughter about her name, then called her a spoiled little rich brat. " Daddy said. " Yes sir, let me call him now. " She nodded and said his name in the intercom.
A couple minutes later he walked into the office, and I looked down. Why did he have this effect on me?
Everytime i'm near him I get this tingly fuzzy feeling. My heart starts pounding, and I can hear the blood rushing through my ear. Then it gets hard to breathe, so I stop breathing for a little.
Ms.Nancy led us to a conference room, and she had to get out Student Behavior Director, Mr. Jones. He walked into the room and sat at the head board. He shook my dad's hand and smiled at Carmelo and I. Carmelo was staring a hole into me.
" So what brings us here today? " Mr. Jones asked as we sat down.
" Well apparently, my daughter told me last night that Mr.Major was teasing her about her name, then called her a spoiled little rich brat. " Daddy said, and I saw Carmelo's jaw tighten. I could tell he was shaking one of his legs, the way he was moving.
I looked at him across the table, and he looked at me with red eyes. So his eyes change colors!
I gave him sad eyes, and I knew my eyes were changing to a dark gray.
" Well Mr. Pride, I can't really do anything unless he really bullies her. He didn't put his hands on anybody or call her out her name. So unless one of those things happen, I can't suspend him, but he will be in probation for boxing and basketball. " Mr.Jones nodded.
" Oh hell naw. They need me, the team sucks without me! " Carmelo said.
It was true, Carmelo is the best, better than Alex even. Without Carmelo we probably lose every game, we won at least eight or nine games, because of him.
" Carmelo, sit down. " Mr.Jones said.
" Man whatever, i'm out. I don't care if i'm on probation or not, let this fucking school lose. " He said and walked out. Then the security guards brought him back in. He was over their shoulder, and they put him on the floor gently.
Carmelo brushed himself gently, and took a deep breath, then sat at the far end of the table at the head.
" Carmelo I understand your upset, but you have no right to be, you teased Miss.Pride, she didn't tease you. " Mr.Jones said.
" I have a right to be mad about many things, and you just don't know. Man I got enough stuff going on, I don't need this man. " He shook his head.
Whatever was getting Carmelo mad or emotional, I felt bad. No one knew what he was going through, and probably wouldn't understand.
" We'll get your counselor after this meeting. " Mr.Jones stated. Then nodded to my dad. For the rest of the time, Carmelo was silent, like a mouse. He just sat there, with his head on the table.
-
" Bye daddy. " I said giving him a hug. He bent down and kissed my forehead.
" I don't want you around him you understand a bad influence. Maybe something is bothering him, so give him space. " Dad said. I looked at him as he got his stuff together. I frowned at daddy.
" I can't make any promises. " I shook my head. " Some people need help. " I shrugged.
" And you can't help everybody baby, let Jesus help him. " He said and walked out.
I still can't make any promises. I had this feeling that we're going to be very very very close.
