Subhadra ~ The Altruistic One

[Chapter 7]

                        ' JOURNEY '

On the way to Indraprastha...

Sky was cristal cleared with some beautiful white cloud slightly covering the sun . The birds were chirping and sound of the waterfall soothing the ears of Subhadra .

Subhadra was sitting next to Arjun and was hell nervous how to start talking . As the man sat infront for looked completely dumsel in handling a lady .

She decided to break silence.

" Aarya ..." Subhadra called him politely . It was the first time she addressed him like time .

Arjun looked at her in a shocked expression as she called him Aarya . He liked it . It sounds so good .

" Yes, Subhadra " he replied to her looking into her eyes . Her eyes are so beautiful he noticed for the first time . Her dark eyes contain the whole universe beauty in it .

" I think we must talk about our relationship at first . I know our marriage is a tragedy but I think we must start it by friendship " she lastly spoke out her emotions which was bothering her .

" You are right Subhadra . We must take it slow . I would love to be your friend" Arjun replied with a charming smile.

Subhadra face lit up like a moon and gave him a beautiful smile which literally drawn his heart.

" I know as per tradition I must call you Aarya but I must preferred calling you Arjun in between us . If you don't mind ? " She told him .

" Of course Subhadra you can call me whatever you want" Arjun replied with a smile .

A mischievous smile appeared on Subhadra face and she giggled a bit .

" You really mean it right ? " Subhadra asked playfully .

" Yes.... I mean it " Arjun replied trembling in words . He clearly noticed mischievousness in her eyes just like Madhav which somewhat feared him.

" So Brinhalala will you be my friend ?" Subhadra asked almost chuckling controlling hard not to laughed out loud .

Arjun face was worth to watch . He was embarrassed to hell cursing  Madhav was the job he was doing right now.

After seeing his expression Subhadra burst into laughing.

" You are not going to call me that and don't dare to tell my brother" Arjun ordered automatically turned to an humble request .If his brother got to know he couldn't imagine what would happen ?

" Okay I am not going to tell them " Subhadra told him reassuringly .

Arjun sighed and looked at Subhadra who has a bright small . " I loved that smile " he thought.

" So now we are friends " she said . Arjun nodded his head.

"We can share everything with eachother . You don't need to be hesitated to talk to me . I think it must be your word that I am speaking . I think that I am a man in our relationship and you are a shy lady " she spoke out her thoughts pointing her index finger at him .

Arjun blinked for a moment . "what she said ?  I am a shy . Probably it is right . It's my duty to make her comfortable but instead she has taken authority" he thought. And in next moment a slight laughter escaped from his mouth .

" You are probably right , Subhadra " he replied laughing and Subhadra too join him .

Subhadra was happy that they are friends now ." But what about Draupadi feeling . She might be hurt but still she accepted me but that was not wholeheartedly . I must form an lovely bond with her . But I think it require time " 
She was engrossed in her own thoughts .

" What happens Subhadra you look some stressed? " Arjun questioned as he was able to spot worry line on her beautiful face.

" Arjun , I am thinking about Draupadi jiji " she whispered  slowly under her breath .

Arjun just hummed in response . He was also tensed about her .

" I think time will do it work " he answered after a brief paused . Subhadra acknowledge that by nodding her head.

Now the silence was prevailed . They were silently covering their distance . Subhadra and Arjun chariot was somewhat back from the other .

Subhadra was enjoying natural beauty of the path they were traveling. She was tired now . It had been two days she hadn't rest properly. Cool breeze of wind were flowing which made her more sleepy . Atlast she gave up.

Arjun was enjoying the comfortable silence . He felt light and happy "God knows why ? Or by presence of Subhadra. She is such a happy go lucky girl and mischievous too . I want to know her more .Might I have started liking her." his thought process got interrupted has he felt weight on his shoulder.

Arjun looked at Subhadra who was sleeping peacefully by leaning on his shoulder . She was looking beautiful to no bounds . Her small breath were tickling his slightly dusky skin . He felt a new feeling or may be possessiveness to protect her from every evil eye . To see her happy always.  He smiled looking at her .

As a cool breeze of wind blows , Subhadra snuggled her head closed to his neck and held  hisarm by incircling  her smal fingure around it . Arjun was now literally blushing . Her touch seems magical to him .

After sometime it became sunset and the moon and stars Started capturing the sky .

Subhadra was still sleeping.

They entered the border of Indraprastha .

Arjun didn't wanted to spoil the sleep of Subhadra . But having no option . He shrugged her slightly.

Subhadra opened her eyes slightly and directly faced a pair of copper hue eyes . They shared a deep eyelock.

Subhadra was the first to get back to trances . She seperated herself from him and looked down . She was embarrassed by her behaviour .She looked at the surrounding to notice that they had entered the city .The magnificent palace was ready to welcome her .

" Indraprastha" word escaped from her lips.
