To start off my first time having sleep paralysis I had already been having a nightmare that night and ended up having my first experience with sleep paralysis. I will start off telling what happened in the nightmare and continue on from there.I open my eyes to see that I am laying down with this vast abyss of darkness. As I sit up I realize that wherever I go it will be faintly illuminated around me. The soft light reaches about four feet out around me like a circle but fades to total darkness passed that. I look down to see that I am wearing a teal and purple striped fuzzy sweater with a pair of dark grey leggings. Part of me is confused by this because I have never worn an outfit like this nor do I have this outfit. I also had noticed my hair was longer which was a surprise because my hair is cut short so that it doesn't touch my neck. I don't pay too much attention to my appearance and begin wandering. It's deathly quiet and there appears to be nothing around me.
About 15 minutes later I hear a faint thumping coming from in front of me in the distance. I immediately freeze out of fear. It doesn't take long before whatever it was making the thumping noise appears in front of me. It was this tall, lanky creature that appeared to be malnourished. Its head resembled that of a mix between a goat and a dragon, the arms were long and from the elbow down they ended in points, the legs were similar but instead of points they widened out into large heavy feet that resembled something like an elephant's feet. On top of it's head sat two sharp, jagged horns. As it approached me I could hear that it was making a faint ticking sound.
I eventually snapped out of my daze and turned into the opposite direction to run away. Surprisingly I didn't run slowly like you usually would in a nightmare. I could hear it's ticking behind me as it followed swiftly.
"tik-tik-tik-tik-tik-tik-tik-tik" was all I could hear behind me. It would increase in volume from time to time. Suddenly my foot sunk down into the floor below me. I watched in absolute horror as the floor began to mold around my foot causing me to trip. As I tried to get back on my feet it molded around my legs all the way up to my knees, keeping me from moving.
I knew this was all a bad dream and let the monster get to me as I laid back down and watched it growing near. Once it was standing over me I could hear its 'tiks' getting more sporadic as it's body would jerk slightly in different directions. Once we made eye contact it immediately began jabbing me in the side over and over. Its jabs were harsh and I was able to feel the pain. Slowly the event faded into darkness as I finally got myself to wake up.
When I awoke I noticed that something was off. I couldn't move. I didn't know what was happening at first but soon realized that it was sleep paralysis. I looked around but nothing out of the ordinary was happening. Then within seconds the thing from my dream appeared beside my bed. It was hunched over me looking at me. Slowly it began to morph into something different. It became a solid inky blob that formed a skeleton like body from the waist up. It looked as if it was something from Bendy And The Ink Machine due to its gooey ink-like appearance. It looked to be dripping what ever it was made of.
I was overcome with panic as I stare at it with wide eyes. There was nothing I could do. Then I remembered hearing somewhere that you could snap yourself out of sleep paralysis by wiggling your fingers or toes so I did. Nothing happened at first but eventually I got them to move. When I did the sleep paralysis demon slowly faded into nothingness. I finally got myself to wake up...
