This time was a bit different from the first two times...
I had finally gotten myself to drift off to sleep. So far no dreams had occurred that night. Suddenly I was overcome by this immense sense of panic for no apparent reason. My eyes snapped open and I continued to feel panicky. A pillow or part of my blanket had ended up covering part of my face. I could still see some of the stuff around me. This time I was laying on my side. "Why was I so scared?" I thought to myself. For some reason my immediate reaction wasn't to try and snap out of it. I guess because I wasn't quite aware and what was really going on yet. My body was motionless as I tried wiggling my toes. I happened to glance down and saw the inky black substance on my side. It was dripping down into my midsection and pooling around me on the bed. I followed it up to see my sleep paralysis demon sitting on me as it was hunched over and staring me directly in the face. Its face was mere inches from mine. For the first time I tried to scream for help but nothing came out. "Why was I so scared this time?" I wanted to cry I was so terrified. I knew what I was seeing wasn't real but my mind refused to believe that.
It felt like an hour had gone by as my sleep paralysis demon and I continued our staring contest. I felt as though my toes were wiggling but wasn't sure if they truly were. Never had I felt this much terror during sleep paralysis. My head felt fuzzy and the back of my neck down to my tailbone felt hot and prickly. I've never felt this type of fear. Part of me was believing that the thing on top of me was real. It seemed so real. But I told myself that it's all a hallucination and that he was just something my mind made up to scare me. Eventually I managed to wiggling my fingers and snapped out of it. I sat up a bit and rested myself up on my elbows. My breathing was heavy as I looked around and slowly laid back down but this time more on my back. Quickly I faded back into my slumber.
What felt like a couple of minutes had passed and I was startled awake by a loud almost gargled breathing in my ears. My eyes snapped open and I was immediately greeted by the skull face of my sleep paralysis demon. If he had a nose it'd be touching mine that's how close he was. My eyes were wide as the hot prickly feeling went down my spine again. My right hand had been next to my head the whole time. I tried desperately to move my fingers. Nothing. It tilted it head at me and slowly turned it to look at my hand. He looked as though he knew what I was trying to do. Slowly he straightened himself but still had his neck bent at an uncomfortable looking angle so that he was still looking at me. We stayed like this for what felt like forever.
My body felt as though I had started to sweat. I hated sweating and hated the feeling of being sweaty the most when I wake up. I could feel my fingers finally start to move along with my toes. Still my body was stiff but I continued in hopes of snapping out of it. The whole time staring directly into the face of my sleep paralysis demon. My feet started to regain movement as so did my hands. What I wasn't expecting to happen was for my right hand to be flung into my face, slapping me. I didn't care that I had slapped myself by accident because once I did I immediately sat up and breathed in harshly through my nose. Finally... I snapped myself out of it...
