Y/n stepped out of their camper and onto the soft grass outside nook's village. They were advised to be careful around a certain man named "Tom Nook" he was the power hungry, corporate loving, no good con artist running the village. As y/n looked around at their surroundings, a short squirrel like creature waddled their way. "Hello, what is your name" the small figure asked. Y/n jumped. "Oh my name is y/n" The small animal extended it's hand "Nook, Tom Nook." Y/n's face went pale. They finally met the one and only Tom Nook. "And im not a squirrel if that's what you're thinking" Nook stated as if he'd read y/n's mind "Im a raccoon... well you're quite quiet so let's get you situated eh." Nook hands y/n a folder full of images. "You pick one" Nook chirped. Y/n shifted through the awful choices of shacks. They looked like Indonesian sweat shops that used young children to operate machines but Nook looked so proud in his estates that y/n continued considering their housing options. Finally, they settled on a small shack that had slightly peeling paint and metal floors. Nook pulled out a legal pad and after 30 seconds of awkward silence, he began to speak. "The total comes out to 2,498,000 bells!" Y/n stared at Nook. "Excuse me?" They asked. "Two million four hundred-" started Tom Nook but y/n stopped him. "No, sir I heard you but- I dont have any bells" Nook was silent for a moment then burst out laughing. "POOR you're so POOR HAHAHA" so this is what they meant when they called Nook money hungry he put such a price tag on a house that looked like a sweat shop imagine how much a decent place must cost under him. Nook smirked and walked out the door of y/n's shack. Before he left he called to y/n, "Get to work hun." Nook winked at y/n but they weren't mad. They felt a weird feeling in their stomach. Was y/n, in love with Tom Nook?
