Chris's POV:
"Well Chris, thank you for sitting down and talking to us. And we hope you have a great rest of the tour." The interviewer chimed happily into her microphone and I smiled back thanking her before she signaled to cut the camera.
"Have a great day." She smiled as her and her cameraman began to pack everything. I thanked her again before I made my way out of the dressing room where I let out a sigh.
It was only the beginning of our tour and I was already feeling exhausted. We were currently in California and we had a long way to go still. I made my way to the bus as we had already finished our show for the night to find my other mates lounging in the living area. Ricky looked up at me and smiled discretely as I closed the door behind me. I smirked and sent him a wink before going over to sit next to Justin.
"Hey man, how was the interview?" Justin asked as he ran a hand through his hair.
I shrugged as I sat back, Ricky getting up to hand me a can of soda which I thanked him. Our fingers briefly touched as I took the can from his hand and I could see a faint blush appear across his cheeks. My lips slightly curled into a smirk but I withheld so the other guys wouldn't notice. Ricky took his seat back next to Ryan but kept stealing glances at me. We all talked for a while about the upcoming shows and interviews before one by one everyone started to go to their bunks. Soon it was just Ricky and I.
He still sat across from me shyly looking around so I decided to tease him. I sat back taking a sip of my drink not taking my eyes off of him. The moment he looked up I ran my tongue across my bottom lip over my piercings. He let out a soft gasp and his face was a blushing mess. Ricky and I have been friends for years, but we started flirting around for the past few months now. We haven't kissed or had sex yet because I still wanted to ask him out. But we have held hands and hugged longer than normal friends should and went out on dates.
I pat the empty spot next to me and he immediately got up to fill the space. I wrapped my arm around his shoulder pulling him close to me.
"Hey."
"H-hey."
We both chuckled as our eyes met and I immediately found myself drowning in his beautiful blue eyes. He had taken off his makeup but he was still adorable without it.
"So, what kind of questions did they ask you?" He asked.
I shrugged my shoulders as I set the now empty can down on the table.
"The usual, tours, makeup, love life, etc."
Ricky giggled softly when I said this and I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Sorry, it's just funny cuz they always ask about our love lives. Especially yours."
"Well, it would be nice to date someone....to give them all my love and affection....not to mention all of my kisses and cuddles." I placed a finger under Ricky's chin making him look up at me. We both just gazed into each others eyes, only breaking my gaze to catch glimpses of Ricky's soft looking lips.
"C-Chris...would you actually...." he closed his mouth before finishing his sentence but I knew what he would say.
"Of course. I really like you Rick, I just want to make sure we're both ready to make it official. And we still have to tell the guys."
Ricky nodded before leaning in to nuzzle against my neck and I wrapped both of my arms around him, kissing the top of his head. We both sat like this for what felt like forever before we decided to go back to the bunk area. We hugged each other goodnight.
"Um...could I sleep in your bunk tonight?" Ricky whispered against my neck. I pulled away still holding onto his hips and tilted my head at him.
"Are you sure? I don't want you to feel uncomfortable." I whispered back.
He nodded his head so I agreed and we both got into my bunk before I shut the curtains well so nobody could accidentally peek in. Rick pulled down his pants so he was only in his boxer briefs and I couldn't help but blush and look away slightly. I did the same thing pulling my shirt off as well before laying back. He did the same and I pulled the covers over us, Ricky resting his head against my chest. My heart was beating so fast and so hard I knew Ricky would feel it. We've cuddled before but rarely since we didn't want to get caught.
"Chris.." the blue eyed boy whispered as he ran his finger across my chest.
"Hmm?"
Ricky didn't say anything. Even in the dark I could see Ricky looking up at me and he shifted slightly. I looked back down at me and what happened next surprised me. I felt his lips press against mine softly. I immediately melted against his lips and I kissed back. The kiss only lasted a few seconds but felt like an eternity. Rick pulled away and I could feel him smiling against my lips.
"I love you Chris.."
My heart jumped up into my throat and my face felt warm.
"Really?" I whispered.
Ricky didn't speak, instead he leaned in pecking my lips with his.
"I do."
"I...wow...Ricky I love you too." My heart was jumping around with joy. I finally said it...I spoke my true feelings.
"So...what does this mean? For us?" Ricky laid his head back against my chest waiting for my response.
"Well, do you want to make it official?"
The blue eyed boy planted a kiss on my chest.
"I do."
"Okay, well Ricky. I love you. Would you be my boyfriend?" I bit my lip nervously. It was quiet for a moment before I felt Ricky lean up and he kissed me again.
"Yes Chris. Of course."
I smiled and held his face with my hand softly caressing it.
"That makes me happy. We'll tell the guys tomorrow okay?"
Ricky nodded nuzzling against my chest, my arms holding him close. We both laid in a comfortable, quiet silence, our breathing the only thing we could hear. I closed my eyes feeling myself about to fall asleep until.
"I told yall he would do it. You owe me 5 bucks Ryan."
Was....was that Justin?
"Ah damn. Whatever. Congratulations anyways you two." Ryan's voice rang through the bunks followed by a snicker which I knew belonged to Vinny.
Ricky gasped softly hiding his face in the crook of my neck probably a blushing mess but I couldn't help but let out a small chuckled.
"I'll explain tomorrow guys." I called back at them. They all said goodnight before it went quiet again.
"Oh god....that was embarrassing." Ricky chuckled nervously. I smiled and held him closer to me kissing his forehead.
"Don't be. They would find out eventually....tomorrow okay?"
Ricky just nodded and after a few moments I heard soft snores coming from him. I smiled as I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
It wasn't how I expected, but I'm glad it happened anyways.
