Chris's POV:

"So here is where we keep our regular inmates, but since you're going to be put with the ones in MAX, i'll lead you there right away. There's not that many so it shouldn't be a problem. Our last security guard has been put on payed release due to some health issues so he won't be back. I'm sure you'll do his job suffice though according to your excellent background."

The ward was going on as I followed him down a corridor that lead to the back of the prison where there was another building in the distance. Must be MAX. The ward had a car waiting out back so we got in and he drove us to the MAX building.

Oh right, my name's officer Chris Cerulli, and i've been on the force for many years now.  So I got a job as a security guard at this prison after I made it through the ranks which took me years . So far it seemed interesting so I might be here for a while. The ward parked the car in front of the white building where we both got out and he opened the front door for us. My focus intensified as I made my way through the rather quiet hallways of MAX and I adjusted my bullet proof vest. We made it to another door that was much bigger and needed a pass to be unlocked. I watched as the Ward unlocked the door and there we were met by another long hallway filled with several doors. Behind these doors were the worst of the worst. One by one I looked through the small windows on the fronts of the cells seeing different people who looked lost or miserable. Some just smiled like they were mad. I would go mad too if I had to be confined for 23 hours. We got to the final cell but the small window was closed.

"This one is Ricky, he's our biggest problem around here. Word has it he stabbed a girl to death and after he got here he just kept having outbursts so we had no choice but to keep him here for the rest of his sentencing. He's been here for almost 2 months now, but he's been imprisoned for 15 years now." The ward explained. I raised my brows hearing all of this and watched as the ward opened the square window to reveal a man sitting on the mattress on the floor. His long black hair was covering his face and he didn't look up so the ward knocked on the small window causing the man to look up.

His eyes widened and he was quick to get to his feet and go up to the window. There I got a good look at his face. He was pale, long black hair down to his shoulders, he had dark circles under his pale blue eyes and his body was very slender. Tattoos decorated his pale arms as well. Ricky smirked up at me but I just kept a serious demeanor not letting him intimidate him. I've dealt with criminals like him but worse.

"Anyways, i've gotta go back to the office to finish with your paperwork. You don't have a problem with me leaving you here do you? Your partner won't be in for another hour or so."

"I'm totally fine with that. Thank you Sir." I nodded my head at the ward who titled his hat at me. He began to walk away but stopped to look back at me.

"Oh one more thing, the cameras in here are being replaced so we don't have eyes everywhere at the moment. So we'll need you to really keep your eyes peeled until the cameras are re-installed at the end of the month." With that he walked off back the way he came from and I stood there just watching him until he was out of sight. Glancing back at Ricky for a moment I decided to walk around just observing each inmate and shut their little window so I didn't have to hear their screams. Lucky for me the cells were sound proof so I didn't have to hear any of them shouting and cursing at me. I took my time before I finally got to Ricky's cell where he was still standing where I had left him. A smirk formed on his lips as he eyed me up and down.
