Starting a new yay!

~~~~~~~~~
I hummed as I walked through the forest to my house, I preferred it out here. It was quiet and calm plus plenty of places to hide traps and escape routes. I could tell it was getting dark since the bugs, were getting louder along with the nocturnal wild life, the owls were especially active tonight.
I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Zukateku Mindori, but I just go by Zuka. Another thing is I'm completely blind, can't see shadows or light, but I do have to wear glasses so my eyes don't get burned. They were completely white, it often scares little kids even some adults when I walk by, but it didn't bother me its not like I could control it.
That's ok though I don't need my eyes to see, I could see everything and more with my other senses. I could the outlines of all the trees feel the animals running through the forests. I could hear the busy city behind me it still sounded like I was in the middle of it but in fact I was about 7 miles into the forest. My guide dog Athena was walking beside me, she was always by my side.
I didn't exactly need a guide dog but she was good to have her around so I wasn't alone out here. She was also a great attack dog, and helps me judge distances of various things it was kind of like using echolocation. I kind of compare it to Dare Devil, it was my favorite show to listen to growing up, I even taught myself like he did to learn how to get around on my own.
I shrugged and made it to my little house and Athena dug into my bag for my keys setting them in my hand. Each key had an engraving on them so I knew which key went where. I smiled and patted her head opening the door sighing as the warm air hit my skin which had chilled from the days cold air.
"Athena water please," I said listening to her paws trot across the floor to the fridge. She was kind of like my butler.
I chuckled to myself and walked back to my room to get ready for a shower, Athena came back with a bottle water and nudged my hand with her head letting me know where she was. I patted her head as she sat next to me as I got my towel, and change of clothes.
Athena followed me into the bathroom just in case I fell even though it was highly unlikely. I sighed happily as the warm water started washing away the dirt and grime away from the day. The city always smelled and felt so dirty it was like a city clouded in fog and shmuck, the people were even more clouded. Not all of them were bad but I hate every second of being there, living out here was much better it was peaceful and calming.
I hummed as I washed my hair massaging my scalp of the knocks and sore skin from having my hair in a ponytail all day. I don't know how models do it, It gives me a headache. Oh well now its time to relax and listen to my book. I was currently reading through the Scythe series it was a pretty great book, it always kept me on my toes. Even though the brain cannot make up faces on its own, and I've never seen a real persons face only felt what they vaguely look like. It was still fun to imagine what a character may look like or how they might act in certain situations.
Tv has never really interest me sure their was better dialog but it was pretty pointless trying to guess what was going on in the quiet scenes, or what was going on during a fight scene. Books were more descriptive and gave me a better view inside the characters mind, and heart. Call me what you will but I am a hopeless romantic, which yeah I know Assassins aren't suppose to have emotions. But life is so boring with nothing to look forward to.
A house out in the forest maybe by a lake, little kids running around laughing as they play, settling down with the love of my life. A girl could dream, but now was not the time for that. I am on a mission and once I'm done then I can dream all I want. And if you are wondering, no I do not see when I dream. I see the same way I see now. I dried my hair and changed into some baggy PJ's and grabbed my brail book and turning on my cd player starting the book where I left off. Tomorrow is a new day and a new adventure.
